NEWS: Princess Iman gave birth to twin baby girls today, August 14.
UPDATE: Queen Rania has announced that the girls are named Talia and Rania.
NEWS: Prince Alois of Liechtenstein announced today that two-thirds of voting family members agreed to end male primogeniture in favor of absolute primogeniture. This means that in the future, the firstborn child, regardless of gender, will become the heir to the throne and later the Prince or Princess Liechtenstein.
“This amendment grants all female descendants of the Princely House the same rights of participation in matters concerning the law of the family as their male counterparts.
With these changes, we want to ensure that responsibility for the House and the country will henceforth lie with those best prepared for the associated tasks. This is generally the children of the Head of State, who grew up here and are familiarized with the special characteristics of the country and the Princely House from an early age.”
NEWS: The Earl of Wessex will be attending the Royal Agricultural University to study Rural Land & Property Management this September.
