Simone Ashley being cut from S4 really doesn’t sit well with me. It legit makes me so sad as a fellow brown girl. It’s like we never matter as much even when we prove ourselves to be the best or the most popular. She seems to be begging to return, she legit said she would come back at any point. 😢 Especially since Anthony is coming back it’s like they used her to be celebrated for diversity but her story isn’t actually important enough to keep around. Or now that they have another Asian lead they don’t need her anymore. Like there isn’t room for them both to exist and thrive together?! Sophie and Kate together would have been incredible!!
It wouldn’t be so obvious if Anthony wasn’t returning but the fact that he is and they didn’t think her character was important enough to also return makes me sick. Especially since Anthony being without Kate makes no sense story wise. Like they will have to make some huge excuse for him being anywhere without her because in his own words and actions he cannot breathe without her. I’m so devastated and sad but unfortunately not surprised.
