The boys are back everyone! It has been almost a year and a half since my favourite soulmates took you along on their adventure, but I am ready now to show you how they are doing🖤

While a lot had happened in the last year and in Aleksi’s life, it also felt like nothing much had changed at all. January had come with more snow, and so the new year started out as cold as the last one had ended.

But Aleksi didn’t mind it as much, not when he was coming home after a long day on the other side of the city, in an unfamiliar studio, with unfamiliar people. It had been draining to do his work today, but he was looking forward to cuddling up on the couch with his boyfriends, hopefully able to snatch some leftovers if Joonas and Joel had cooked.

Idk if this is an unpopular opinion but I think blind channel will flop without Joel (unless they make some MAJOR changes). I'm sorry but I don't think Niko alone is charismatic enough to be the frontman™️ of the band, I don't think any of the remaining members are. And I'm not even a fan of Joel's, but I think he played such a major part in hyping up the band and being the "marketing man" that I don't see who possibly could replace him... I think he was the core of blind channel, I mean it was HIS band in he beginning

hello anon! i don't think it's an unpopular opinion. personally i don't agree. im sure bc will come back stronger than ever and it'll be amazing. us hardcore bc fans won't abandon them no matter what, and there's a lot of us, we won't let them flop

my unpopular opinion is that them parting ways with joel is the best thing that could happen. they weren't working out together anymore, and ignoring it would've lead to a definitive, irreversible split. now joel gets to do the music he likes the way he wants, and bc will continue without a member that wasn't happy with the band anymore. in my opinion everyone is winning

If I may add to this ☝🏻

"flop" is a strong word but I do believe BC's popularity might drop when they come back, not just because of Joel leaving but also because of the long break and radio silence, people will eventually lose interest (if they haven't already).

However, they left with such a strong fanbase it's hard to believe they will flop completely. They won't be at the top like they used to be and it's going to take some time to rebuild but it won't be the end for them, far from it. Like you said, parting with Joel was a good thing since now everyone in the band actually wants to be there and work together.

And I've said this before but Joel leaving the band isn't the end of it! Yes he was a front man, yes he was a driving force in BC and yes, it was his band. But these things happen, they've happened to other bands and they survived so I don't see why BC wouldn't.

I also disagree with Niko not being charismatic enough. And it's true that Joel was good at marketing the band and it is important to have someone like that in this social media era we're in but it's not necessary in my opinion. They'll just attract another kind of audience, which isn't a bad thing.
