You know, I’ve spent the last couple hours being sad that we’ve lost Zayn, and being mad that management let it get to this point, and I may have gotten some dust in my eye at some point.

But ultimately, I’m glad that this is the way we lost Zayn.

Because we could have lost him the way we lost River Phoenix.

Because we could have lost him the way we lost Heath Ledger.

Because we could have lost him the way we lost Robin Williams.

And so, so many others, famous and not.

I am so profoundly grateful that all we’re losing Zayn from is a boyband. And I’m grateful that he can continue to be a role model for anyone suffering from stress, depression, or any other mental health condition. Take care of yourselves, lovelies.
