Sometimes a song just comes into your life at the right time.
With a strong focus on the North East, more commonly known as Isan, the late Ahjan Kitiarsa looks at how Buddhism and Thai Boxing co-exist in this complex society and are both able to act as an exit strategy for poverty and the harsh reality of a capitalist society.

There is a presence in his photos and a nostalgia; they have content that is tangible and ordinary. What has happened to the city I currently live? I wish to go back to this time.
YELLOW FANG - ห่มผ้า HOM PA (Cover with Blankets)
Wonder what came first, Gep Paa or Hom Paa? Paa can be clothes or blankets, or cloth. Gep is to put away and hom is to cover; but hom paa doesn't mean to clothes so I translated it as such. Anyways, I love what they are doing with titles. We can't forget titles. It is like the song makes the other complete and so forth.
My family are not in to them what so ever.
YELLOW FANG - เก็บผ้า GEP PAA (Putting Clothes Away)
Loving this right now. Random find from Thailand. Credit to Punky's Dilemma for this gem.

The board of Mens Wearhouse has dumped the founder, George Zimmer who built Men’s Wearhouse from one small Texas store using a cigar box as a cash register to one of the North America’s largest specialty men’s clothiers with 1,143 locations. On the record they’ve said that it’s because they want to appeal to a younger audience.
Not nearly as publicized is the fact that Zimmer was a big supporter of decriminalizing marijuana in California and maintained the policy for the company of not only NO drug testing, but also NO background checks on employee’s. Why? Because Zimmer is a former alcoholic who believes that everyone deserves a second chance and that marijuana should be legal. He’s made his money, built his company and if you don’t like it…..well, you get fired, from your own company.
Master Song, owner and hear trainer at Kai Singthong in Vancouver BC sings a classic song from Laos about being young at heart despite aging.
This guy swam across the Mekong for freedom...he is living his life. What is my excuse?
Photographer Jon Crispin is cataloging each suitcase and opening a window into the lives - and the minds - of the people deemed too unwell to be allowed in society.
So pure...

Thank you to Shelly for doing this for us. Being part of Boom's journey, I wouldn't have it any other way....
He does this for his family. He wants his family to have a good name. He wants his dad to be able to tell people in the village that his son is a champion.
Rally for Boom- he needs a fight ♥ ♥ ♥

Master Song said he was going to make his own karaoke video, and he did. I respect him for doing what he says, and doing what he wants.
Sometimes I wonder where my life would be if I did what I really wanted.
