A really weird day made better with Margiela.
Listening to Cassidy’s most recent mix and looking through some NYC photos off of my phone, trying to forget tonight’s debate debauchery. oyyyy
1 / the super lovely apartment that I stayed in in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn. Everything was charming, including the entryway where I dropped my favorite coat in the world while frantically moving my luggage down a fourth-floor walk-up.
2 / dried flowers lurking over the wall at a showroom.
3 / souvenirs from a detacher and dashwood books- my favorite shop in nyc. I finally bought a Mark Borthwick book and can’t wait to share images from it.
4 / cheap, beautiful paper indulgences from a store in Chinatown. I’m grateful my boss has an obsession with unnecessary pretty things.
5 / the best green building and stairway up to an appointment in Chinatown. These buildings are falling apart but hold so much history. I would take this charming space over any high-rise any day.
6 / color decisions at Maryam...always hard!
7 / nothing better than a walk on the High Line. One day I’ll figure out what that amazing plant with the most incredible smell is. It’s a very distinct, warm, almost beach-plant smell and it smells this way every summer when I’m here.
8 / glitter at night at the end of the walk
9 / cutest Laura ever, making us all nutella and brioche after a long night of mezcal, cheese, and good conversation.
I also went to Dia Beacon but took mostly film...we’ll see what comes out !!

WEAR: BLACK! And this season, maybe red? READ: I can’t put down Leopoldine Core’s “When Watched” LISTEN: the new Angel Olsen. I always feel nostalgic during this season and listen to a lot of Kings of Convenience. They make me miss being a student and going to Alta with friends. LOOK FORWARD TO: feeling a little more mentally in-tune with myself. i get the best kind of “moody” this time of year.

in love with this blouse from anaïse
an important look from my favorite fictional character
Lol me me me
on my radar // a khaki trouser, cropped but with no flare for a utilitarian look (acne) (hope) -- a detailed sleeve on a white blouse, because white button-downs generally put me to sleep (both are celine) -- the photographs of Luigi Ghirri, making me really, really want a European holiday -- gingham dress from rennes, which I’d wear with black oxfords to feel slightly less precious -- bob d (always)
Caught a screening of Notebook on Cities and Clothes, a film about Yohji Yamamoto by Wim Wenders, at the PFA tonight. A deeply inspiring reflection on identity and fashion, and WW’s own exploration of digital recording. I was so moved by Yohji’s interaction with his team. There is an obvious master-student relationship, but Yohji is gracious and trusting and his associates work diligently with the utmost respect and focus.
