I like to think that raydians are open minded about queers while inkies have a prejudice about queers

Yeah, that's pretty much what I've always thought.

The Raydians seem to be pretty open, and the inkies seem to be insanely repressive.

That's not to say there aren't individual exceptions on both sides, it's just that one side either executes or brainwashes anyone who attempts to push back or have different opinions, while the other doesn't.

Isn't that what they were trying to do?

If I recall correctly, Von Blot was experimenting on various animals to see what he could do with the mutated ink, so transforming animals into ink abominations was likely at the very least considered.

The end goal was likely to make the Blancs or corrupt Blob, but I don't think they'd turn down the opportunity to do such a thing.

Also I'm the idiot with an INKT Brainwashes Blob AU, of course I'm going to agree that that was a thing they'd do.

Yep, which just manages to make that scene worse.

Ink seems to be a pretty nasty substance overall. The only reason I can imagine that raydians produce it is its some form of defense system - if something tries to eat them (or rather, tried to eat their evolutionary ancestors), they'd instead get a mouthful of toxic sludge.

As to why the inkies are made of it. Sci-fi/magic Bullshit, it's a coincidence to do with how colour energy manifests.

to be honest i headcanon arty to be of prisman origin, and her mother was the head of the orbital habitats project who became senator sometime after she left, the reason being that she felt like she wasn't blossoming under her mother's thumb

and then she returns from chroma in time to witness the decline of prisma with the same grimace pomni bore in episode 1

The idea of Arty returning home after however long it was only to find the city is nearly completely bleached, highly polluted and has spontaneously gained a bloody apocalypse cult of all things is funny to me.

I'd say so! Maybe not all of them, but they're definitely a thing for the inkies.

I mean the inkies are already some form of biomechanical organism, so it'd make sense.

UH.

I think she probably knew of at least a couple of the other members of the Colour Underground before that start of the first game, and that she probably worked as an art therapist or something. I don't think she had a particularly difficult or notable life, and she was a bit of a thrill seeker.

I think they all probably knew each other because they were moving in similar circles, and they formed the CU at the start of the invasion in an attempt to fight back/evacuate people. They all became close friends through this, and stuck closely together.

The Prison Zoo was the worst thing that happened to her. Ever.
