Aki smiled, a sort of nostalgia was reflecting on her face. She smiled sadly as she had to agree with the other woman. “Yeah…” She said, “I kind of hate it.” She added truthfully.

“But at the same time I am happy.” She admitted, “Gosh, I’m confused myself at this point.” A chuckel escaped her, it was only slightly pained.

Natsumi nodded, “I guess that is a parent’s curse.” She said. “I don’t envy you or Hiroto a bit.”

Aki smiled, “is that so?” She asked, knowing full well what the other womam really felt. Natsumi didn’t answer, instead she put a hand on Aki’s shoulder, facing the soccer field where the Raimon team was training with her.

Tenma was wearing the captain’s band as he lead the team skillfully.

“He might be growing, but he isn’t a grown up yet. You know?” Natsumi said.

Aki smiled, “I know. But I dread each day he comes closer to being one.” She admitted.

She sighed, voicing the thought that crossed her mind in that moment.

“I guess people aren’t that far off when they call me his mother after all. I certainly feel like I am.”
