We have a home.
For the first time since 1958 – that’s 68 years – Montgomery Ballet owns a building. It used to be a dry cleaner’s on Coliseum Boulevard. Now it’s two studios, a costume shop, and a black box theater so intimate you can hear the dancers breathe.
Tonight and tomorrow at 7:00 PM, we’re opening the doors for free. Not “free with a catch.” Free free.
Friday: The Fairy Doll Ballet (1903, whimsical, technical) + Lights (electronic, dark, luminous)
Saturday: Ocean & Pearls + La Vivandière (virtuosic pas de deux) + Lights
We’ve been nomads since 2022. Lee Wilcoxon, Julie Byrd, the Junior League, Eastbrook Shopping Center – all temporary lifelines. Now? Permanent.
Dance lives here. Really, truly here.
Come see what 70 years of perseverance looks like. Bring your curiosity. No ticket? First-come at the door, but honestly? It’s free.
