Giving it back to God.
“Nothing that you have not given away will ever be really yours.” - C. S. Lewis
So I’ve always been one of those people that keeps an eye on my money, I’m pretty careful and don’t like just spending it on whatever junk is the trend at the time.. and so it’s been quite funny as a student dating a student, neither of us really have the cash to just treat eachother, but we do try..
I’m the kinda person that hates being ‘in debt’ to someone or knowing that someone owes me money, I feel better once it’s over and crossed out.. and so my boyfriend started calling me “Madison TSB” (I believe it was fair as it was paying me for our holiday haha)..
All jokes aside though, I don’t want to always feel like that I am owed anything, I want to be a generous person that doesn’t expect anything in return..
After looking at the words of Hillsong Uniteds’ New song ‘Touch the Sky’ where it says “I found my life when I laid it down”, and then thinking of other songs where God is asking us to give our lives to him.. isn’t it crazy that we think we’re going to basically ‘lose’ who we are instead of actually finding ourselves in him?
I’m not perfect far from it. But giving my life to God was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I dread to think where or who I’d be had I not had God as my anchor.
God gave everything for me, which is a debt that I can never repay, and it’s hard to accept, and difficult, so so difficult to comprehend that kind of love.
But he did it, and I’m so thankful.
And so it starts! #nefoldad #recording #studio #21stcenturychurch
But God met her on that dark road. He said, “you can come home now. I’m right here, and I never left you.”
