Day twenty of Draw Everything June 2026, where I'm drawing people's queer TTRPG characters.

This is Avila, Bemmes, and Selene. They are @snifflebunny21's bisexual elf bard, aro dragonborn artificer, and lesbian tiefling druid (D&D).

"It's easy to think that her wolf companion is the wild one, but Selene is always delighted to prove such assumptions wrong - pointedly, and with a vengeance. Which usually leaves Bemmes to clean up her messes, same as he's been doing since they were kids, and honestly, how did the street-rat of the pair end up with the better manners? Really, though, they both make Avila look like an angel. She doesn't mind - after all, if everyone lets those two troublemakers stick around, surely she can be allowed to stay."

Last Movie: Ah, gosh. HM. I haven't watched anything that's not a TV show in a while. I semi-voluntarily caught the last fifteen minutes of Scrooged over the winter holidays I guess?

Last Series: Last series I watched any part of is, as always, "Emergency!" because I will never not be stuck in 70's paramedic hell. If we're talking new-to-me shows, a friend's making me watch Grey's Anatomy (early seasons) once a week, probably because observing my growing despair about the characters' poor life choices is fun. I don't even normally watch medical shows, and yet here we are lol

Sweet, Savoury, Spicy: Savory if I had to pick

Craving: Some good spaghetti with olive oil and obscene amounts of lightly toasted garlic.

Tea/Coffee: Yes please, lol

Currently working on: OH BOY WHAT A QUESTION.

Spinning: Gotland on my spindles (4-ply, one single per spindle, for funsies - except I accidentally mixed up which bits of fiber go with which single on which spindle, so that'll be fun to sort out...), 7oz/200g of red Merino on the wheel (for a crochet hat, followed by 9.5 oz of red and black Merino for a woven scarf). But also 24.5oz/700g of grey Merino. And cotton on the supported spindle. And I've got some laceweight viscose on the mini turkish spindle that I should really work on...

Crocheting: Half a dozen things, including a lacy collar that needs buttons and blocking, a gigantic star-shaped wrap-around shawl, an incredibly boring granny square top for my little sister, and too many others to count.

Art: The Emergency! tarot as the eternal never-ending WIP; I also have some Dragon Age Veilguard related plans revolving around the Grand Necropolis and irl Catacomb Saints and I'd love to get some DA-style tarot cards done for all my player characters.

Writing: I still have a couple unfinished fanfics that need another chapter, as well as two deeply self-indulgent OC/Emergency! crossovers that friends are making me write, and I also have some Dragon Age stuff in the works - though if anyone will ever see that is another question entirely.

Music: Practicing various stuff for LARP; also slowly chipping away at Hozier's Work Song because my partner asked nicely.

Last Series: I currently have a SEVERE case of Poirot brainrot. Yep. It's terminal and there's no cure :))

Sweet, Savoury, Spicy: Depends on my mood. I love all these. Give me sweet or savoury any day of the week. I can't seem to live without spicy at least sometimes.

Craving: Pelmeni. A very specific kind from this place in Nizhny Novgorod called Лепи Тесто. The kind filled with ground turkey, teryaki sauce, and ginger, with beetroot in the dough to make the pelmenis pink...get a big giant bowl of like 20 of them, put some sour cream and green onion on them, and sit back with a nice cold glass of sparkling lemonade? ugh sounds like heaven and I'm so sad I can't have any because I'm not there (Gotta learn to make them I guess)

Tea/Coffee: Both. Coffee in the morning, tea for the rest of the day

Currently working on: Three Poirot fics, drawing commissions, training for my new remote job, helping fix stuff on a retail website, and I will learn the dang snare drum part to Tam Bain's Lum for the bagpipe band even if it KILLS ME

Last Series: Last newly-discovered series would be Poirot (and still fairly obsessed with it as you can see), but I've also been rewatching a few episodes of Glee with my partner for a bit of unhinged-but-fun nostalgia

Sweet, Savoury, Spicy: Tough choice! I'd say I can live without spicy, but I need to have a balance of sweet and savoury every day!

Craving: Vegan tuna, I love mixing it into a nice tasty ramen — but I can only consistently find the packed-in-oil kind which I never liked! Still holding out hope for the packed-in-water brands to become more accessible here...

Tea/Coffee: I never drink coffee but I occasionally enjoy all kinds of light teas or tisanes!

Currently working on: Two writing projects, including a Poirot fanfic — very excited! I'm also trying to improve my art, keep up on physical therapy, and finish up an important translation contract.

Tea/Coffee: Tea - warm when it is cold outside, iced or cold brew in the summer. I have quite a collection of various varieties of tea, my current fave is a black tea with dried tropical fruit pieces. Delicious.

- Rehearse for a leading role - I'm in an amature theatre group and we're doing an original play this year (written by our director) so I have to work on the character and also learn my lines lol

currently reading: i finished greywaren by maggie stiefvater yesterday. i recently decided to do a reread of the raven cycle so that i could finally read the dreamer trilogy—and i loved it so much. i have so much to say about it, and i’m hopefully going to post some of that here in the next couple days.

last movie: uhhh... fuck, IDK. Last movie-length thing I watched was an episode of a Long War of the Chosen letsplay, specifically an HQ assault mission, which was a 1 hour fifty minute episode

last series: Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. KB beloved. We love to see a canon disabled character who gets to get mad about the way her friends treat her like she never changed. Also she's mad smart and looks like Geordi, how could i not love her?

favorite color: the cool-freshness of a just-risen-sun in early-morning in like, late September thru March, where everything is grey-blue and clear and bright and soft and shimmering and even the golden sunlight feels bright and fresh and cool, but saying “grey-blue” alone doesn’t adequately convey this 😅😂 it’s what I think of as a Tolkien color, because it’s like a Lothlorien or a Gondor or a Rohan (or a forest or a river) morning, it’s bright and cool and soft and sunny and grey-blue-wind-toned. yeah. ♡
