TIESTO - MISSION IMPOSSIBLE THEME REMIX (JONCONSTANTINE MOOMBAHTON BOOTLEG REMIX) Just posted this remix after hearing Tiesto's massive dutch house-inspired remix of the iconic motif. Anything dutch house easily translates to moombahotn... not. This one has been sitting around on my computer for a couple weeks since it came out waiting for me to finish it, but I could never find the right groove or mix, but today I hunkered down and cranked it out, finally. It opens with a percussive arrangement, and steadily builds to Tiesto's awesome synth recreation of the original motif. The drop is the result of massive editing on my part, and I feel it will definitely get the crowd in the right place to RAGE. PM me with your e-mail address on soundcloud if you are a DJ and want to throw this into a mix, and I will send you the 320kbps mp3. If not, sorry! If you like EDM in any capacity, this should be on every playlist. Rob Swire's new venture KNIFE PARTY released their first EP yesterday, 100% No Modern Talking. Call me pretentious, but this may be the very best EDM release of the year, save maybe for Porter Robinson's Spitfire release. Every track on this EP is pure gold. Opening the EP is the stalker's anthem INTERNET FRIENDS. A robotic voice narrates a deranged Facebook chat with a female who doesn't seem to be taking a hint, but things quickly turn for the worst in the middle. (HINT: If you own an iPhone, you will find yourself hating this song beyond any hope for remorse.) Following this song is the crazy DESTROY THEM WITH LAZERS. This one is full of bizarre sounds (lazer sounds, obviously...) and builds with a vintage vocal sample. My personal favourite from this album is an electro anthem, TOURNIQUET, with an absolutely eargasmic breakdown that must be heard to be believed. Wrapping up the EP is the song FIRE HIVE, a dubstep track. I love this one because dubstep tracks from crossover artists always seem to blow the competition out of the water. They approach it differently than just straight dub producers. And no, it doesn't sound like Skrillex..... Not totally...

AVICII - LEVELS (SKRILLEX REMIX)

What's up everybody! Long time no chat, eh? Well, it's Saturday, and finals have left my body spent, but this song just dropped today, and seeing as it is Saturday and I post dubstep on Saturday, I HAD to post it. It's Skrillex's remix of Avicii's Levels, which if you ask me, he's kind of going the way of Google+ and totally overplaying before releasing the actual song. That's right. He hasn't even released the official master. It's only been a rough mixdown. But regardless of that, this remix is exactly what you'd expect from Skrillex. Sure his basses sound the same, but he still brings that energy and produces quality tracks. So STFU and enjoy the bass.

VALOROUS - ON A ROLL (ORIGINAL MIX)

I was contacted by DC-based producer VALOROUS to check out some tracks on Soundcloud. While normally I find this sort of thing a bit daft, I DEFINITELY am glad that he did. It seems that currently many producers are reluctant to have a song with crazy stupid flow, but Valorous indeed had the valor to create such a tune. This one will have the crowd getting down almost immediately. With a broken up rhythm that will have you hypnotized and some crucial yet unique moombah whines, this track is unlike a lot of the tracks I've listened to in the past. You FL Studio users will recognize at least one sample in here, another thing that normally gets my goat, but the use of it in this track was tasteful. Definitely get this one and CRANK IT.

TRIXMA - WET DREAM (ISHIYAMA MASTER)

This track is a killer! From Vancouver-based producer TRIXMA, this tune is gold from start to finish. You are going on a journey when you spin this one, I guarantee that. So many lush elements and dynamics make this track a must-have (IT'S FREE ON SOUNDCLOUD). Definitely throw this in the mix to take your crowd to another planet. But ACT FAST. There are only about 22 downloads left at the time of this post, so get it while you still can!

LIQUID STRANGER - RIPPLE (MINOR MIRACLE REMIX)

This is an acid trip packed into 4 minutes of moombah goodness. From UK-based producer MINOR MIRACLE, this song has a very heady intro with samples from Liquid Stranger, but the drop definitely creeps up on you. It features some filthy basses and patterns that will zombify the floor when it drops in the mix. This is also a great example of minimalism in moombahcore. Drums, percussion, and bass. That's all you really need, and Minor Miracle proves it.

NOMS - EL JEFE (ORIGINAL MIX)

Got a live one from Boston-based producer NOMS. This track is gold, full of some wonky moombah noises, as well as downsampled talking basslines. The intro is hot, and the drop will definitely have you getting down. But wait for the second drop. It's definitely what you need to take your mix up a notch.

MISSY ELLIOT - I'M REALLY HOT (MACKAI MOOMBAHTON REMIX)

I love this mix, let me just say that now. From Australian producer MACKAI, this is moombahton at its finest. The intro and build are full of Missy Elliot's verse, and the drop oozes moombah. I dig the hooveresque quality of that lead. This one will tear the club up, so make sure you throw it in the mix. The dance floor will thank you.

MAKKS D - MR. MOOMBAHT

After that last one, you need to chill out. This is the perfect way to relax. From French producer MAKKS D, this one is totally chilled out. The intro is pretty long, but really chill and great for chilling out, cruising, toking, whatever you want. Then, once you forgot that there was supposed to be a drop, there's a drop, but not too crazy. You guys are definitely going to love it.

MODIGS - NOCTURNAL

Hope you have your affairs in order, because this one is a KILLER. From Swedish producer MODIGS, this song opens with an intro that means business, until the drop that grabs you by the face fills it full of bass. If you're a fan of chilled out moombahton, THIS IS NOT A TRACK FOR YOU. This track is as heavy as it gets, make no mistake.

SWEETS - DAUD

I am loving this track from LA-Based producer DAUD. The intro is nice and calming, but the drop will put any dance floor under hypnosis. Lots of surreal leads, and wonky wobbles, and then the second drop is lethal. Put this one on your playlist when you're toking up, because this is a heady piece of work all around. Big ups to Daud for this track!

It's Saturday, which means I post a dubstep tune. I got into EDM listening to dubstep, so it has a soft spot in my heart. Which was immediately ripped apart by this simply MASSIVE banger from my absolute favourite dubstep producer right now, BROWN AND GAMMON. B&G, based out of the UK (it's only one guy, by the way) has developed such a unique style of dubstep that all he can do is stand out. Super melodic (some are almost mind-bending), and BASS-INFUSED. This track right here is a remix of a song off of Kill the Noise's new KILL KILL KILL EP, and features Ultraviolet Sound and Emily Hudson. It opens essentially the same as the original, but then B&G adds some chordage, and builds up from there. The drop is brain-blasting, with a piercing but heavy bass. And from there, you will just have to listen for yourself and hear what a musical genius Brown and Gammon is.

KREAYSHAWN - GUCCI GUCCI (CROWD CONTROL MOOMBAHCORE REMIX)

I have a confession to make... Kreayshawn's Gucci Gucci is one of my few guilty pleasure tunes, so when I heard this one, I knew I had to post it. This remix is beast. From Iowa-based producer and DJ CROWD CONTROL, this is about as sick as remixes of this song can get. It has a bass-filled intro, which builds up with a heady mix of chopped vocal samples, but this drop is definitely creeper status, with talking bass and tribal beats. This one will get the club, house party, or drive to work retarded. This song comes to us off of Crowd Control's SO HOT! RIGHT NOW! EP, which you can download for free on Soundcloud.
