Photography assignment, photograph #1

This photograph is slightly dull because of how the sky and the ground are split exactly in half and the moon is exactly in the middle. 

This photograph would have been better if the photographer used the rule of thirds to align the sky and the ground in a more interesting way. Also, he or she could have used the golden ratio to move the moon to one side rather than keeping it in the center.

Hey!

While I don’t mind the critique itself at all (you make good points and I’m personally always happy with constructive criticism) I wish you had asked me beforehand if it was okay to use my photo to practise. Tumblr is not deviantart and I don’t post here for feedback on my photos, just to share a few snaps of one very special year in my life with people who are interested in seeing them. I don’t take photography seriously and this particular photo was taken through a dirty train window, whilst said train was moving. I liked what it reminded me of so I posted in on here.

Again, I don’t mind having my photos critiqued; I just think it’s a bit rude to do so without asking me when I haven’t specified I’m okay with this. I hope you understand!
