i had to reflect on my time spent playing.  it was amazing to me how different plays feels as an adult. how i had to work at staying focused on playfulness.  Play no longer comes easy for long periods of time, just in bursts. There was times I felt like i couldn’t any longer, but i just had to find the fun in a new thing in those moments. Play requires you to be present. It’s a marvel how kids do it all day.  Play is exhausting, no wonder kids sleep so well.  Play is fulfilling, life seemed lighter for a while after.  Play is creatively stimulating, and hundred precent fulfilling.  I aim to always keep playing~

As I sit at home, still covered in the chaos of today’s performance, I feel equally exhausted and energized. Today I felt myself continue past the breaking point and I’m thankful to know there is no limit to duration. The human body can do anything. To maintain a childlike state, the key for me was dropping in. Practicing letting go of self judgement and following impulses, regardless of how small or large the audience was. Of course I ran in to moments where I checked out, but there are more moments I can’t remember because I was so present. The rules played out perfectly, and in retrospect I don’t think each one would have gone as smoothly if they had fallen in a different order. My veins are pumping with creativity and my mind is flowing with imagination. I feel alive. I feel free.
