random horsemen tidbits i feel like the fandom should know, collected from both films and interviews. none of these are really spoilers, all info gathered from nysm 2 will have [spoiler!] hover at the end if you want to know the context

the actors’ ages suggest henley has as much age difference with atlas as she does with dylan

due alma’s young age, isla being cast seems like a conscious choice
j. daniel atlas is not daniel’s real name — and it seems he’s only used to for about fifteen years or less
jesse eisenberg said in an interview for the first film that atlas is so stuck on the idea of being the greatest magician in the world that he went as far as to take up a “made-up name”
