Time to test that fiery resolve.”If anything, you should be thanking me for bringing that back in one piece.” Well, more like ‘I’m giving this back to you since it’s not what I wanted, buuuut you can have it~.’ “So what are you going to do, detective? Jump over the table, tackle and cuff me before hauling the magnificent thief off to jail? Wouldn’t that look like aggravated assault on your end?”

         ‘‘ Oh you don’t go anywhere today, ya madman. ‘‘ She ain’t falling in this, after all the chances she’d mercifully gave this dumbass of a oh so called ‘gentleman’. Hah! What a joke! Now’s not time to run. ‘‘ KID would absolutely say that, and ya got the same face, same voice-changing skills. Just seconds ago ya were tying to pull of a lower tone to try and ‘fool’ me! ‘‘ And not to mention he’s basically trying to excuse himself… While running away from her. Was he really trying today?

         But nevermind trying to think how he’d think thats a wise decision, since Charlie takes up her pace behind the guy, absolutely not giving him a chance though– She’s always ready for chases! All those soccer and field running skills always ready for any match!

   “It’s just a coincidence-!” Well, no choice: he has to bolt. Now. And seeing the football detective 2.0 on his tail wasn’t helping! “You’re chasing after a normal civilian! Harassment! Abuse!” Well... A bit of a stretch but he still played on that lie somewhat. So yes, he is trying today, and he wanted to escape all because of his stupid mouth.

   But running wasn’t going to do jack - if he had to lose her, he had to get smart. Without warning, his legs (with shoes in an attempt to find traction and propel him towards his left) shifted from his original path, and into a clothing store, which had quite a crowd inside.

         ‘’ Quoi!? ‘’ Oh, she definitely did hear that, halting her tracks only to turn around with her now more natural-looking furious face. This guy’s dead.

         ‘‘ I give you the chance to run off and ya totally blow up yer opportunity! Y’know what, I change my mind, I may not wield ya worst nightmare in the form of a ball but I could still fight ya, KID. ‘‘ Ah yes, finally the back and fort game of bickering has blown up. Perhaps even some people could see this shenanigan happen as the furious girl could only shake her fists at the absolutely not KID.

“And I’m gone-!” Time to go, for this is one of those battles that shouldn’t be fought for now! “I don’t know who KID is, and you totally got the wrong guy!” Maybe not say that as you’re sprinting, KID? It would help your case a little!

      She almost wanted to snort after him practically falling in her act, but her body restrains anything that could giveaway a hint. Instead, she only put on the curious-apologetic mask she’d wore in a situation like this, a hand going up her hair to twirl  blonde locks a little. 

         ‘’ Weird, I really recognize your face from like… ‘’ A pause, eyes again shooting a discrete glare. ‘’ Perhaps a thief? Someone famous? I might be wrong, though… ‘’ But then there’s a small laugh replacing her suspicious tone. ‘’ But that couldn’t be, ya look like a total dork! Sorry for bumping into ya, gotta go! ‘’ But she takes perhaps a little too long to try and walk away.

“Gah...!”  At this point, his mind was telling his legs to turn him around... And start walking. Staying for one more second was unacceptable, until...

 “I... Guess?” Still, that total dork jab nearly caused his eyebrow to twitch in anger. If only he had some tricks up his sleeve! He had to get away before his big mouth got him into more trouble than his legs did. As he passes her, he let drop one slight jab as a whisper: “And you look old-fashioned.”

Rest in Pieces, Kuroba Kaitou, for your mouth might have unintentionally worked.

         It was obvious he really didn’t expect to bump into her, which only could mean he wasn’t really planning this encounter at all– It being mere ( vile ) coincidence for both. So Charlie took a breath and dusted off her clothes a bit to where his nasty body had bumped on, shooting the young boy a glare. ‘’ Ya look like someone I know. Do I know ya?‘’ Given the tone, it was obvious she knows but maybe, just maybe– She was trying to let the guy escape before she changes her mind.

   Did she not recognize him...? Even if he was wearing his street clothes - a simple grey polo and some blue jeans - he had to figure that she could recognize that magnificent face of his... Right? Still, wouldn’t hurt to play along, as he had to escape. “I... Don’t know what you’re talking about.” And to further the shoddy disguise, his voice was in a lower tone than his usual. ‘Please let this work...!’

“Can you-” The moment he turned to see who he bumped into, his mind froze. Of all the people he had the displeasure of running into, he ran into that damn detective.

Placing the roses in a vase that she had to look for, she still wondered who they were from. Her mother was asleep so she couldn’t ask her. It reminded her that she needed to get some sleep as well. It didn’t take long but she was fast asleep even if she couldn’t figure out who were those roses from.

Though because of that, she almost overslept and was in a rush to get everything she needed. It seemed she was able to be on time even though she rushed out of the house, forgetting that Kuroba was going to walk with her.

“Ah-! Koto... Noha-chan...?” He just watched her take off from the front door to her house. Did something happen to make her run out like that...? Still, he did promise that he was going to walk her to school today, forcing him to run after in hopes that he could catch up to the lass.

“Kotonoha-chan, wait up!” It didn’t dawn on him that his roses could have caused that predicament, as he was a little bit surprised to see her like that.

Looking down at the other male, he didn’t reply at all but seemed glad that this was the right person to return the wallet to. Of course, Kotaro didn’t show any change of expression showing so. Not replying, he got out a small notebook and paper from his pocket and seem to write something.

Handing it off to him, it simply said that he was really no one and just saw that he dropped his wallet so he thought to return it to him. It was a good thing that he wasn’t in a hurry.

He got his answers, but... In the form of a written note. Was he not able to speak, or...? Granted, he was still grateful for him to return the wallet, but the silent treatment was kind of unnerving.

“A no one wouldn’t have returned the wallet at all,” he stated calmly as he looked at the other from top to bottom, kind of curious as to who the stranger was. And to not get anything vocal at all... Well, it’s certainly a bit difficult to tell whether he was a friend or foe.

... Thank goodness he wasn’t spooked - well, if he knew how to make a straight face, but he did feel a sudden jump from the heart after being startled slightly by the other male. Just who is he- ah, he’s holding his wallet too. “Thanks, but... Who are you?”

Hopefully that one question would get him answers... Right?

Closing her door behind her, she let out a breath she didn’t even know she was holding. It still bothered her on why he wanted to hold her though why did she let him could be the bigger question. Since she was still in her thoughts, she pretty much was not too far away from her door. She almost didn’t hear the doorbell as she seemed distracted. When she came out, she didn’t see anyone and went to her gate, only to see a bouquet of roses.

She honestly was confused since she thought these were fro the wrong house. Pondering about that, she didn’t really place two and two together that she had seen them before. Picking them up, she went back inside her house and thought about telling her mom about this. Maybe they were hers.

Oh, if only she knew... Then again, he had to make this a bit ‘last-minute’, but to make sure that he would have been quite the biggest tease for the day, he left a little note inside the bouquet. He even had to make his handwriting a bit more elegant than what he’d usually do for his challenge notes (or for that matter, his handwriting.)

“Dear Lady Kotonoha Katsura, I actually had quite a lot of fun with you, even if it’s for a brief moment or two. I had a feeling that you may love these flowers, so I found a few more.

I hope to properly enchant you with the most brilliant magic again. -KID”

The signature was basically a 1412, but done in such a way that it resembles the word KID. He even threw in the infamous logo at the end, for that cherry on top. All he hoped was for her to see that note.

📖 - What is their favorite outside of the bedroom activity to do with their partner? 

 He’d probably give them a slight ‘magic’ show out of amusement, take them out on dates like going to some massive mall, theater or watching quite the extravagant show that he didn’t have a hand in (now that he has his bike again).

💚 - Are they prone to jealousy? 

Hm... Kaitou? Jealous? Well, considering his personality, that can happen? Then again...

⚔️ - Are they protective of their partner?

-Looks at that one post of him ‘protecting’ Aoko I mean what- In all seriousness, he might be selfish and run while he’s at KID mode, but he’s shown to be protective of others that he actually cares about... Even if he ends up being injured for it.

How far are they willing to go for the person they love?

Knowing Kaitou, he’d definitely try to protect someone if it meant seeing their smile again, because remember - the last thing he wanted to see was someone being upset. Sure, he might be - or look like he’s - selfish and/or perverted at times, but underneath that and his KID mask, you have one of the kindest personalities possible. 

How far would he go? Considering that he’s going far to go after the same people that murdered his father, he’d go far just to shield someone he cared about from harm.

         It wasn’t a surprise for her to not actually believe his words– Actually she never did, and he hasn’t given a reason to think otherwise and change her mind, so bothering about that would be too much of a hassle. Papa raised no fool after all.

         And as much as she’d love to strangle him, this detective has morals, and the maximum thing she can do is to kick a ball at him but only if a heist is happening or if he really tests her patience and is at a more far distance. ‘’ Ugh, I don’t have time for your foul play. ‘’ It comes out more like a snarl than a calm reply, eyes narrowing in rage before taking a step back. ‘’ If there isn’t a heist happening guess moi has to go somewhere else, I’ve got other cases to attend. With that clear… ‘’ She turns on her heel, finally walking away– Not really trying to hide the utter irritation by the way she stomps anywhere but near the thief.

“Actually, about that.” A slight smirk formed on his lips: she better think fast. “I think you might want to look behind you - more specifically, your hat.” If he was any saner, he’d turn around and leave the minute she reached for that note... If he wanted to live to see it go off without a hitch. “I wouldn’t be surprised if you thought I came here on a whim. Ta ta~!”

As for the note? It read: “Tomorrow, 9 PM at the Megaweb. I’m coming for a rather... Majestic jewel on the road. See you~!”

Letting go made her relieved yet for a moment, she did miss the warmth. It was very perplexing but she ignored that feeling. She only took a few steps away when she heard his question. With a nod, she replied, “I don’t mind. I’ll see you then.” With a slight wave, she then walked back inside her house telling herself that it was okay that he hugged her because they were friends.

“Now then...” 

He was waiting for quite some time until he was definitely sure that she was inside. He couldn’t let her see this next trick that he had planned for her, which was why he hid a bouquet of roses behind his fence on his way out earlier.

Once he saw that he had a good chance to do so and hoping that she wasn’t in the window, he walked up to her gate, placed the bouquet down, rang the doorbell and promptly walked back to his home, appearing as if he was just passing by. And if she saw the roses, they looked rather familiar...
