i. seilah loves wolves. ( and most animals to be frank ) it's something about their loyalty & innate ability & intelligence to collaborate & survive together. wolves are commonly misinterpreted as lone creatures. yet, wolves choose one mate for life. they would die for one another. plus they're absolutely beautiful. another reason why seilah has a strong dislike for humans is due to their presumably destructive presence to the wildlife.

ii. seilah has probably read thousands of books. not much else to do for hundreds of years of living. this makes her incredibly knowledgeable about a variety of topics involving magic, science, botany, history, folklore, & popular fiction. seilah might surprise people by knowing about the most obscure facts.

iii. seilah does like wearing shoes for many reasons. one of them being that she likes to feel the earth beneath her feet. the flow of magic all around. being originally of nature magic affinity, the connection to the natural world is the closest thing she has left to her humanity.

the night was quiet, yet loud to those with the ears for their voices. the wall seem to speak — shifting and yawning as she glides through the abandoned corridors. she wore a dark gown. it was casual and clean. it took much of her energy to appear as such. lest she frighten the others, seilah works tirelessly to put her best face forward. even her best glamour spells couldn't fool everybody. she felt it best to keep to the shadows ever since such unfavorable encounters.

she finds herself at the window pane which overlooked the dimly lit courtyard. eyes carefully follow the movement beyond the veil. a woman, drenched in water, making her way across. poor thing. just another victim of the underlying evil of these grounds.

seilah knew she wasn't alone. she felt the other's presence, as if she herself was alive.  ❛ this new crowd is a rather curious bunch, ❜  she says no louder than a whisper.  ❛ they see more than they should. ❜  seilah wasn’t usually one to pity the living. their existence as fragile as the breath in their lungs. one beat too far and they all find themselves in the same place. the void — the never-ending limbo of souls who just couldn't pass on. there was no ‘ better place ’ as far as seilah was concerned. not a promised land, nor a heaven. not for those who found themselves consumed by freesia. the wretched place — like it's own distant realm, separate from the rest of the world.

days blur to years. she loss count of the time she spent on this floating fortress. it wasn't a prison after all. she had no need to keep tally of her never ending servitude. still the hands of the clock only seemed to trickle by. no one told her how grating 'immortality' would be.

there were very few items she kept from her past life. only one true constant of her existence among the living. she never told anyone this. not even kyoka. the less connections to her humanity, the better. that, however, was something she couldn't part with. no matter how many lives she lived. it was of silver. blade slightly dulled, but still capable of piercing flesh. the handle was wooden, carved in the shape of a wolf. she could see why it might've sparked his interest.

❛ that doesn't belong to you . . . ❜ she counters quietly, failing to hide the grave tone of her voice. ❛ hand it over, before i poke out your irritating eyeballs. ❜ seilah doesn't wait for whatever crude retort he had to offer, snatching the blade from his hand. by the sharp end, no less — not caring how it might cut her.

seilah turns away, knife resting in her open palms. the red which originally stained it now darkened. she remembers what it felt like — to run this blade through the heart of who she hated the most. who lead her to part from her mortal roots. the sight of it — of his blood, fills her with an alarming sense of comfort. pale fingers curling around the blade, she almost feels bad for snapping at jackal.

   Two  demons  in  a  cottage  in  the  middle  of  the  forest.  There  wasn’t  a  chance  that  Jackal  could  ever  forget  that  ,  and  his  ears  lowering  gave  a  hint  to  the  trail  of  thought  he  was  going  down.  Despite  Jackal’s  comings  and  goings  ,  his  actions  never  sated  anything.  It  was  just  something  to  do  ,  an  attempt  at  being  productive.  Jackal  had  always  needed  to  do  something  ,  out  of  many  demons  he  was  perhaps  the  most  volatile  ,  made  for  violence  and  destruction.  He  wasn’t  made  for  anything  else.  Sure  ,  leaving  would  temporarily  give  him  something  to  do.  And  there  was  the  goal  to  kill  the  bitch  and  fireball  too  but  even  so.  It  wasn’t  the  same  as  when  Tartaros  was  around. Tempester  would  show  up  again  sooner  or  later  ,  were  there  any  others  ?  He  hadn’t  expected  Seilah  ,  so  maybe.  But  then  what  ?  His  tail  flicked  in  irritation  at  the  thought  ,  clawed  hind  legs  flexing  for  a  moment  as  he  remained  sitting  in  the  grass  in  front  of  Seilah’s  cottage.

   Maybe  Seilah  hadn’t  meant  that  at  all.  Maybe  it  was  the  fact  they  were  hanging  around  together  at  all.  Not  the  two  many  would  expect.  He  snuck  a  glance  at  her  ,  quiet  as  he  didn’t  yet  answer.  Jackal  would  have  laughed  in  the  past  if  someone  said  that  this  would  have  happened.  But  he  wasn’t  laughing  now.  For  all  his  lost  purpose  ,  there  had  been  a  new  intent  to  not  let  anything  happen  to  Seilah.  Not  when  he’d  really come  to  realize  how  important  she  was  to  him.  He  wouldn’t  say  that  of  course.  The  LAST  thing  he  needed  was  her  calling  him  some  overgrown  dog  or  the  equivalent  of  that.  Especially  because  ,  knowing  her  ,  she’d  do  it  looking  for  a  reaction.
