“ Ahhh thanks! Sorry about that! “
◆ Though he was usually a cocky asshole, Shugo did sound honestly grateful for the other’s help. Without it, his old raggedity book would probably have blown away. It was harder to crack a mystery when you only had the first five pages or the one concluding page.
◆ Hearing the comment about his book choice, Shugo just grinned. He knew from seeing the stranger had exited a bookstore that he was a fellow book enthusiast, so assumed that he was respectful of all forms of literature.
“ Naww, this one is perfect. Handwritten accounts of these happenings in this very town a hundred years ago… Usually when humans include the supernatural in their stories, they either don’t know the answer or don’t want it know.”
◆ After that mouthful, Shugo hummed the cheery words,
“ In other words, it’s a real life mystery novel~. “
“Real life mystery novel, hmm?”
Hanson raised an eyebrow at that. So, this guy believed in the supernatural then. Or so Hanson assumed, which was fine with him as long as the other guy wasn't some crazy monster hunter or something.
“Sounds interesting to me. I enjoy reading about the supernatural and paranormal as well. I'm Hanson, by the way. You're a book lover too, it seems.”
