Riding through Palm oil plantations. Looking into the plantation under the canopy of leaves it looks a bit like an oasis in the desert. Cool and inviting.
But there’s also a bit of a sinister side to it. The industry is linked to major issues such as deforestation, climate change, habitat degradation, indigenous rights abuses and animal cruelty. These plantations takes up massive amounts of land.
