I’ve seen a lot of “stylists” being absolutely ridiculous lately with what they expect to be done prior to arrival and with what they change in asking that so I thought this was interesting

If you have a stylist that is telling you that you must shampoo and blowdry your hair before you come, get rid of them. They're trash.

That is literally part of their job and it's one of the best way to make sure your hair is in proper condition. Not only that, they are trained to look for scalp diseases and disorders to ensure your hair is in optimal health and theyre not spreading disease from one client to another. If they're having you do part of their job, likely theyre not cleaning their combs like they should, which means they're actively spreading disease. They're also not worried about your moisture balance, which means your hair is likely to be breaking off.

If they are a stylist that says that your hair must be shampooed, blowdried, and flat-ironed of all things before getting it braided, they. Are. Trash. They don't care about the health of your hair at all. What they care about is making money and trying to make your hair look like it's straight even though it's not for these braids they're about to put it. They. Are. Trash.

Braiding is a natural style. I said what I said, I won't be apologizing, and I don't care if it offends anybody.]
