Society

We're stoked to drop the artwork for our upcoming EP, Society. This is hands down the highlight of our long, six-month history as a band. Society is an experiment in collaboration that features seven guest musicians across the span of four songs. Most importantly, this release is another step closer to showing the world what our band is all about musically and in aesthetic. We'll be releasing new music from Society as well as more information in the coming days, all leading up to the release show at The Silver Dollar Room w/ The Box Tiger & Waterbodies on August 14th. NEW SINGLE: Free Pistonhead

We dropped a new song last week and unlike our other releases this song is only up for streaming and is going to be a part of a larger release. The song is called Free Pistonhead and it will be part of our upcoming and yet to be titled EP. 

If you aren't in the loop, this EP a collaborative project with each song featuring different guest vocalists, musicians and producers. Free Pistonhead features our good friend Porter Jae. We feel this song is getting closer to showing the world what Morakoza is about so we're really proud of this one.

New Haunts

Roughly every month we switch rehearsal spaces. It helps us keep things fresh. Yesterday we moved all the equipment to our guitarists basement (pictured below).

This place acts as our studio and it's where we get all of our recording done and quite a bit of writing as well. Last night we worked on some guitar overdubs for our next release. The song is almost done and we should be releasing it within the next few weeks. If you downloaded our first song and signed up for our mailing list you'll get to hear it before it hits the public. We're really excited about this one and there are a few surprises to look forward to.

MERCH 4 DAZE

We recently got super productive and got not one but two t-shirt designs printed. The grey on the left is called THE MAYAN LION and the red one on the right is called THE FINGER. Both shirts were designed by our guitarist Matt and we're selling them for $10 each. You could say they are limited edition as there are only 23 shirts available per design. They'll be on sale at our very first show this Friday and we aim to have an online store up soon afterwards. Well, if we still have any after the show ;) We're also out of tickets for that btw, but they are still tickets on the door!

Updated Photos

We posted a couple of new photos under the photos section of the site (duh). There are a few promotional shots taken by our good pal Jamie as well as some live shots from our first show at The Marquee in Oakville back in November and our Instagram feed.
