Bullet Ballet edit, using bits from the trailer cobbled together. My favorite Shinya Tsukamoto film behind Kotoko and one of my favorite films of all time. Also here’s a tiny excerpt from a poem I wrote partially inspired by it:
““If only I could find you
In this ballet of annihilation
My head wrapped in bullets
Thoughts distended ‘round your lips
Pieced together with barbed wire filaments,
I know you can hear them
.
“But I don’t accept this
Once we’re nothing,
I know we’ll meet again
At the atom bomb wedding,
Our radiated dust melding into each other’s
Eroded, formless shadows,
Drink in my ravagement and starvation
Take my merciful disappearance,
My ruined existence,
And kiss me
In the sonic crack of trumpeting doom
As the horsemen
Plough over our iridescent bones
Into devoured destruction,
The last atom
Of my last speck of dust
Billowing from our obliteration
Pleading for you
To join me
In the great terrestrial avalanche,
In the definitive and final end
To all of this.
But I can’t see you
Once I wake
Into another distorted, stagnant day”
The rest of my poem, titled Reunion in Dust, as well as several other nonsensical pieces of nonsense writing, can be found on my Substack page.
My unwavering thoughts on the futility of life and all that comes with the horrific, forever worsening experience of being a human being. Al
