â the hatred is hard to ignore. â (its true tho)
POETRY STARTERS / ACCEPTING.
   âIgnore it not,â says Mordred in a stern voice. Thereâs no laughter from him, no great amusement in the face of this mans laments. His eyes glimmer when they roll toward the Archer, both his palms resting atop the pommel of his blade standing between his legs. âThere is naught reason to deny it. If thou feels joy, joyeth thou must beâ-if thou feels hate..â His tongue rolls and he tightens his fingers around the pommel, the claws of his gloves tapping idly along cold steel. Mordredâs eyes slowly narrow. Something in him clicks. â..Thou must release it.â
sunneknyght:
   âBE THAT AS IT MAY, I SHOULD SOONER BE A FOOL THAN AN OATBREAKER LIKE THEE.â His bright, blue eyes narrowed: here was the man that was once  his brother, that forever remained as the avatar of treachery. There was only blood between them, and he almost wished for  more. âI confess my sins, for my arrogance, for my disloyalty. I would atone.â He pointed a finger taut with accusations. ( Without true understanding. ) âMy  love  ? How can thou speakest of such when KNOWST NAUGHT OF LOVE! Gifted everything to rise above thy wickedness, gifted my Kyngeâs favor, yet givest to temptation so proudly? What kind of  wretch â !âÂ
   Mordred laughs and it is the most ugly laugh he can muster, so deeply hearty and just as dark as the heart which rests behind his ribs, and he goes on and on until he cannot stand it anymore, until the very act of showing amusement tired him so. âThy hilarity knows no end!â Bright blue eyes, so like the raging sea, were met with storming emeralds in a fierce look, the most crooked smile carving itself onto Mordredâs face the more he noticed Gawainâs displeasure. âThy Kynge hast left thou so far behind in darkness that thou find truth in delusions. Thou love a beast instead of a man.â He laughs again, but this laugh is much lower and more so sinister, rising from within his throat like a monster. âThy Kynge is naught but a gravedigger. Thou hast allowed him to bury thou so willingly, but I returned to haunt him. No longer would he escape his sins in me.â Suddenly, the amusement fades and he switches to disgust, his eyebrows sharp and angry. âI knowst naught of thy putrid love, an oath-breaker I mayeth be, but I am no blind fool like thee.â
â none of this gets easier, we simply become stronger. â
POETRY STARTERS / ACCEPTING.
   âWho art thou speaking to?â His ire tears like lightning through his emerald eyes. How foolish of this woman, to assume he was weak like other men. âDost thou mistake me for my Father instead?â Mordred scoffs and lets out a small laugh to show his fiery amusement, his head shaking in response to her words. âThou would best retract those words and save them for another man. Never have I wished for anything âeasy,â nor will I ever.âÂ

POETRY SENTENCE STARTERS / ACCEPTING.
   âI commend thee!â He claps only once and the halls echo with the sound of his condescending rapture. There is a most devious grin on his face, his hands staying clasped together after the sound dwindles. His eyes close calmly for but a moment, reopening to set his gaze directly on this man so bright. There is no fear within a man who has nothing to lose. âIâve met no man able to see the truth so clearly.â Mordred lets his hands fall yet his smile never wavers. The line of danger is always the most intoxicating. âBut, thou art quite late. This disaster thee sees is only the smallest piece. There is much more right before thine eyes.â
â i sit not upon a throne of bone. â
POETRY SENTENCE STARTERS / ACCEPTING.
   âBut it is a throne, still. With bones and all.â A throne was a throne, no matter how it was gained, no matter what itâs built from. This man, the most golden of them all seated so comfortably in his throne so deserved and his palace always his own, stood tall against Mordred and made himself known. He was a bastard through and through, a forgotten and abandoned heir who would never be able to run from his truths (though heâd die before the thought) but he would take what was his no matter the cost, no matter what lie beneath him once he was done. The means werenât importantâ-the end game was. âThy throne is clean, but mine is not.â The knight pauses and shoots the other servant a piercing glance.Â
   âI care not of what I sit upon, so long as I sit.â
â donât claw out your own throat while waiting for someone else to scream. â
POETRY SENTENCE STARTERS / ACCEPTING.
   âIâll wait no longer,â says he, the most devilish grin splayed for his dear Father. To hear it the first time was so sweet, so rewarding, but to hear it again, to witness the shame and defeat of the man whom denied him of all he deserved once more would be better than the first. His vengeance would never endâ-Arthur would know his name and see his face for all eternity, in life and death forevermore. Nothing could be done to him that would be worse than what heâd do to Arthur. He existed to make him pay. âThy men will see thy downfall a thousand times more. Thou will never rid of me. Thine omen will stay with thou always.â
@ligdracanâ!
   âEven in death, thou art given no rest.â How amusing! An end so fruitful and devilishly deserving. Arthurâs suffering would know no end. âAnd now thy image goes dim, thy burning fire turned smog and ash.â He laughs, so snarky and snake-like, barbed and bleeding. In his death, he finds victory everlasting. Over and over and over. âPray tell, dear Father----what hast become of thou this time?â
@sunneknyghtâ!
   âThou hast made thyself a fool, Sir Gawain.â A poison dagger tongue and a sharp stab for dear brother Gawain in all his twisted glory and romance. âThou cannot wash away thy sins under the guise of loyalty. I know them well, as do thee.â As does dear old Father, his son a product of what those would hide away or turn beautiful. âThy love bears rotten fruit.â
â itâs okay to fear. â
POETRY SENTENCE STARTERS / ACCEPTING.
   âThou should shut thy mouth for the last time, brother.â All pure agitation and an urge to fight comes bubbling up and Mordred makes no move to hold himself back. The advance for Gawainâs neck is like an animal instinct, but he holds it almost gently at firstâ-a warning before he letâs himself loose. A beastly smile cracks upward, taunting him. âThere is naught to fear from thou than the mere truth of sharing thy blood.â

â god doesnât care about what might have been. â
POETRY SENTENCE STARTERS / ACCEPTING.
   âGod is no longer in thy favor, Gwenhwyfar!â She hides herself in no tower, for now she seeks the church all over and remakes herself holy, a hidden angel with riddled mistakes. Her voice rings like bells behind each door, her image disappearing behind each window shut before he can find his way in. She runs, again and again, but he will catch her before anyone else can. This woman will tell her sins on this day. âGod was not the one who sought me instead of Father, who sought any man different than he. Thou hast distanced thyself from the woman thou pretend to beâ-I am no fool.â The chapel will see him soon enough, his hands monstrous and viscous on the handles, moments away from ripping them open and taking what is his once again. âThou cannot keep me away.â
â the gods lie as often as men. â
POETRY SENTENCE STARTERS / ACCEPTING.
   âSuch is the nature of gods and men,â says Mordred, standing tall before this towering amazon in all her glory. His gaze says flames, an ever crackling pit of sparks behind his eyes, a field of smoke just behind his teeth. âThere beeth liars amongst us all, may they be gods or simple folk. Often do they fool themselves with their lies than thee. But what of it? Thou art capable of creating thy own truth. Lies matter not.â
