Give Hazbin more episodes

me the second-to-last episode of hazbin hotel: argh it's so good but it's so annoying that it could be BETTER if it was given PROPER TIME and BUDGET, imagine all the fun filler episodes we could have had of the hotel residents hanging out and learning new lessons and slowly redeeming themselves!!!!! (also more huskerdust....)

Some people have been complaining that Hazbin storyline is getting rushed and I have some thoughts.

Series are getting shorter and it’s concerning.

Like, few years ago they would have at least 15 episodes, Hazbin only has 8. How do networks expect to create a great narrative when there is so little time?!

Now, you can make an argument that Hazbin isn’t using all it’s runtime properly and that some plot lines could have been cut, but it’s undeniable how this 8 episodes thing is hurting the series.

Percy Jackson also suffers from the same problem, the writers have so little time that they end up recurring to exposition and thus making the narrative worse.

Bring back 15-20 episodes seasons please 🙏

I miss long seasons.

I miss seasons that had 20 episodes and half of them could be cut and nothing would be lost to the story.

I miss the episodes where nothing fucking happens but you get to see the main cast goofing around with one another. You get to see their interactions, their relationships develop, their day-to-day lives and how they all fit together in them.

You get the Christmas/halloween/valentine's special -is it needed? certainly not. but is it good? is it entertaining? does it give the show and characters life? do we, the viewers, enjoy it? YES!

give me long stories!! give me little quarrelling spats between characters that can be resolved in one episode with no need to have an impact on the greater story! make these stories real!

let me enjoy them before they end!!!

I absolutely love Hazbin Hotel and the little world that's been created, but I can't help but feel disappointed we're only getting two seasons of 8 episodes.

back in the early 2000's 16 episodes would have been ONE season, never mind the entire thing.

show my angel dust and husk and nifty and sir penthouse living their daily lives in the hotel! show me Charlie brainstorming ways to redeem sinners! give me Charlie forcing the hotel staff to do cringe-y exercises! give me an entire episode of Vox trying to follow alastor through security cameras! Give me husks typical day! Give me a special through the eyes of nifty on a mission to irradiate the hotel of bugs! Give me sir penthouse and the egg boys up to no good!

give me something other than the bare necessities to make the story flow

6 months have nearly gone by in the hotel, and it feels like 1 month.

I miss when the standard season size was 20 episodes honestly. Shows were never meant to be slightly longer movies split into eight chapters.

My biggest hope for Hazbin Hotel seasons 3 and 4 is that there'll be enough episodes for filler episodes which focus on the characters instead of advancing the plot. Perhaps that's too ambitious for one fan screaming into the void, but imagine how cool it would be for us to watch the characters interact and bond without needing to focus on the plot. In season one, a lot of character development and relationships between all the residents and staff in the hotel happened in the background because the plot needed to move forward by episode five. It makes me a little bit dismayed to think about the character development we lost. That's why I want seasons 3 and 4 to have more than eight episodes.

Recently, it was announced that Hazbin Hotel season two will have eight episodes, same as season one. This was a bit of a disappointment for me since the main problem I had with season one is that the pacing was all over the place due to the small amount of episodes. I don't blame Vivziepop for this in the slightest since I'm aware that these kinds of things are usually not in the creator's control, however, now that season 3 and 4 have been announced, I'm going to dedicate this blog to advocating for more episodes.
