This was the graphic I made for my 2010 online release. It was a 10 song compilation & I’m making a playlist on youtube featuring those recordings. I’m now 3 deep.

It was an emphatic’ “Hey, look what we can do nowadays, even when we’re starving & borderline homeless.” And the dystopic sound of the ‘album’ reflected my reality at the time. 

I made another release in 2013. In truth I was just keeping myself occupied. Making sense out of having to move every few weeks or months to make sure you have a roof over your head had been my reality since 1995 & it sucked. 

I moved to LA in 2009. The 2010′s had more of the same in store, & between hostel life, the never ending job search & social services, I’d had enough & married a girl at a hostel in Noho in the mid 2010′s & made a go at a different life.

When I share a link, I'm trying to find an audience for my recordings & generate royalties. I've never been a fan of the 'fame culture'. When done properly, music can generate interest in, & combine with other streams of income to create a sustainable livelihood completely separate from the established music business. That was always my goal as an artist & performer. Now #MoribaMarcano is retired & focused on the publishing side of the music business, I'd never want to be just a product in the established music industry.
