I don't think I've ever said it outright but I might've in passing, but after WW2 Clara's husband was retired for his work in the army and clara remaind a nurse until her "accident"(he beat her) he claimed she was hysteric and had her emitted to mount massive, she spent several years there till Easterman needed a nurse🫶

This is a more lighthearted question for any of y'all who want to answer: what's y'all's opinion of the headcanon of Mother Gooseberry being a system of some sort?

Personally as a system myself and someone who finds comfort in the character of Phyllis, it's a comforting headcanon, but if it were to become canon I'm not sure I'd enjoy it as much due to her potentially falling into the "good alter and evil alter"; it's not necessarily bad, just a little overplayed lol

osdd 1 B!! and also this is the only real accurate rep i've ever seen of it to be honest. we need more alters that just argue and never get along and tell each other to shut the fuck up and who are also fucking. unapologetically honest about the sort of shit trauma morphs a system into if left unchecked.

i don't feel like futterman is an evil alter trope. i genuinely feel like he tries to protect phyllis but in ways that are violent and unpredictable. he has lines that imply he cares for her and both of them as a unit and that he's willing to fight for it. this is a common role some protectors fall under and is sometimes called the persecutor role . He could also exist to prevent phyllis from being abused in relationships (an alter that exists as the concept of control because if he exists and always hurts her, no one else ever can) or to prevent her from getting into any relationships that don't match the one her father and herself used to have.
