If anyone want's the most straightforward and not as uncomfortable version of Dramatical Murder I shockingly do recommend the anime. It removes the worst scenes found in game (minus the OVA, even then it's toned down). Doesn't get as much time to world build though so it's easy to get lost.

The anime honestly can't even be considered BL.

Animation quality isn't the best but the JP version has the original VA's and the ENG dub. is interesting. I found it gets better the last 3 or so episodes. for context I was very drunk.
