It took me almost 3 years to realise I was wasting my time on someone I had made out to be different from who they really were. They say fight for what you want. Not to give up on the ones you love. But just make sure that what you're fighting for and the ones you are loving, are real. Make sure they are worth it. Make sure you haven't created this fake image of them just to keep loving them. It has to be real, otherwise you are fighting for something that isn't even there. You're loving the image you've created of this person that you were hoping for them to be.
