Looks like Mort's getting into the holiday spirit too!
"Can I take this off now?"
Forgetting I already posted the zombie MORT! sketch.
D'oh!
Such a tease...
Something big's coming this Halloween.
... Well, big by my usual standards. I started work on it last December, so I've got plenty of time between now and then to put as much detail and beautification into it as humanly possible.
I will say one thing, it may not be for the faint of heart... or anyone who doesn't like a little blood.
But that kind of thing comes with the territory. Keep your eyes peeled, you guys! ;)
In the interest of avoiding stagnation, here's a little teaser for this Halloween. ;)
I calls it... Post Mort-em! (pun, pun, pun...)
Welp.
Someone offered to animate MORT! cartoons for me, but I had to turn him down since I couldn't pay him anything.
Though I feel I made the right choice, I really hate my sense of morality sometimes.
What do you guys think? Would you have turned down the free labor?
Celebrating not just 2,000 followers on “Ask Vaudeville" and the reboot of "The Mysterious Dr. X" but all things Tumblr as well. If you’re on Tumblr, then reblog this because you’re in it somewhere! Possibly hidden somewhere in the back, but still there!

for submitting their own artwork and saving me the work of drawing or cheesily Photoshopping art from their blogs into this like I did with everyone else. Do ‘em a favor and check out their blogs, eh?
Can YOU find all the hidden characters? If you can, keep ‘em to yourself. Nobody likes a show off.
Ooh! There's Mort! :D
Hey there, followers. Who's sexy people? You sexy people.
So, where is MORT! right now?
He's in a good place, I think. I'm seeing a slow and gradual -- but definite -- increase in my drive to draw him over MLP fanart now that the personal hype for drawing that stuff has died down. It took some work -- and still is -- but I'm slowly training my mind to think up more MORT! ideas and less Pony ideas. I'm sure he'll thank me for that. ;) As for where I want MORT! to be, I still see myself a long way off from the goal. It feels like I've only just started dedicating myself to drawing the guy, and now I've gotta figure out a way to get to the point where I'm motivated enough to try to animate 'im. The drive's there, but with my budget, it quickly dies when I remember the cheap equipment I have to work with. Well... baby steps, I guess. I did finally hook up these blogs to the page over on facebook (which you tumblr followers can check out and like for yourself at https://www.facebook.com/MORTimation), so there's one thing, at least. Guess it's true what they say about the journey of a thousand miles. *faint*
ART DUMP! (because I don't want to spam your dashboards with a hundred individual posts) There's some old stuff, some new stuff and a few things inbetween. Click for full view and best resolution. ;)
You can find all of these and more at http://drewdini.deviantart.com
Don’t mind me. Just drawing something to transition Mort over to vector graphics. Plus, playing with poses, perspective, and facial/body expression.

Poor internet connection yesterday. Anyway, this week, Mort’s been re-imagined by TV’s Kyle A. Carrozza. You know, one of those guys that worked on Fanboy and Chum Chum? Yeah, that’s him. He’s right there in the credits. Also, he’s on deviantART http://tvskyle.deviantart.com
I’monna shoot for getting another answer up next week. Yous guys keep the questions coming, mmkay?
Rebloggin'
Okay, so there wasn’t an answer last week. There was going to be, then there just wasn’t. I think, once I staple deadlines to it, MORT! becomes something I have to do, rather than something I want to do. School starts Monday, and I need a break… So, for this week’s MORT! re:imagined, Mort’s been re-imagined by the wonderful TheLivingMachine on deviantART (http://thelivingmachine02.deviantart.com). Go give him all of your love, because I can not tell you how awesome this drawing is! :D
Next week, I’ll upload another re:imagining, but as far as answers, I’monna need t’decide whether I want to keep shooting for every Friday and hope the mullygrubs wear off with time or just upload answers whenever I get to ‘em. Bear with me, y’guys. I’ll try to figger this out.
MORT! Fanart. The info is irrelevant.
It has begun. 0.0
Part 2 of MORT! re:imagined—Feral Mort.
Fun fact: The real Mort’s tail was originally just about as hairy, but then I decided it was ugly that way and shaved it.

This Wednesday kicks off a new series I’d like to call MORT! re:imagined. Every Wednesday from now ‘til I decide to stop it, I’ll (or another artist will *wink*) reimagine Mort in a brand new way. This week, I went for the classic golden-age-of-cartooning look. ALSO: I’ll be gone to Six Flags this Friday, so this week’s answer won’t be up until Saturday. Sorry, folks.

Happy V-Day, guys! Just a bit of filler while I work on pg. 1 of the comic. That should be done in a week or two, considering the time classes and homework take. There's also a chance my blogs may go down for a bit while I reorganize things, but it's minor. ...You know you want him.
