someone please help me out, this is driving me crazy.
i’m trying to make hair recolors, but for some reason i keep getting i get the “there was a problem exporting the selected textures” error. google says it’s something about the textures being the wrong size or unlinked or the wrong size, but nothing about how to go about fixing it.
the error seems to be random. i can try exporting two hairs from the same creator and one of them will have it and the other won’t. the only way i’ve been able to get around it is if there’s an unnatural color included in the set, so binning probably has something to do with it. otherwise, i have to go to the hair database and keep downloading different recolors until one of them happens to work. a lot of the time the hair that won’t export is from the original creator.
what i want to know is, why am i getting this error? and why just me if other people seem to be able to make recolors just fine? and hot tf do i fix it?

so last night i had the revelation that the problem started happening after i accumulated a lot of hair defaults & replaced a lot of the basic har body shop uses to fill in the gaps for projects where not all ages are available. once i took my defaults out, the problem went away!
