There were things that were typical of Virus. Two of his favourite things, however, were lies of omission, followed by information gathering. These were easy things, simple things. Things that were engrained into his very core. Were they usual of other people? Hardly. Most didn't understand him. They didn't see the fun in doing such a thing, didn't understand the satisfaction that came from such a look upon another person's face. That look of realization, of having been so dearly outsmarted by something as simple as human reactions.
Emotions were useless.
But they were instruments that needed to be used, if only to have the means to an end. That's why, when the so-called 'Yakuza' approached the well-known Rhymer and tapped his shoulder, he kept his ever amiable smile intact.
❝Hello there, rabbit prince. What a joy it is to see you wondering about in my territory, for a change.❞
Was this really typical of Virus? To meet and greet someone like this-? In short, no. At his core, Virus detested people, loathed them and the privileges they had that he never once could dream of touching. But when it came to that aforementioned skill -- To gathering information about things Toue wanted -- Virus never fell short. If he didn't know about the intelligent man in front of him, he'd certainly be doing his job incorrectly.
❝It's really an honor, you know.❞

❝My, my, what an establishment.❞
A velvet tone comes forth, pouring over his lips like the same silk this room appeared to be coated in. Just how had he gotten here? He didn't recall falling asleep in a hotel, nor had he planned on doing so at any point. His first reaction is to check his coil, sharply coloured hues settling on the device as he taps it against his wrist. Screen after screen raises up, and though it attempts to pinpoint his location -- Even manages to successfully do so -- it's far, far out of range from where he usually is in Midorijima.
❝Hmm. . And to what do I owe the pleasure of being here, hm? I'm not sure what the price on my head is, but I assure you I can pay it off.❞
His vision darts about for something, anything; a camera, the sound of footsteps. . But to no avail. His brow twitches as his eyes narrow. It would seem he's walked into quite the situation; that's what he got for wandering around dangerous places on his own.
❝Ahn. . Trip won't be pleased about this one-.❞
fudatsuki:
Nicolas’ eyebrows raise at that, more shock than him being impressed. It was rare to meet people who could communicate with him in such a way, and it gives him a false sense of familiarity. He’d urge himself not to get carried away and let his guard down, but he doesn’t think it’ll be an issue. After all, something told him such a person would not be staying here of all places for too long.
He ponders for a minute, eyes looking over his new acquaintance as he judges. His knowledge of people versus his looks. His clothes alone were obviously expensive. Money was all he saw when looking at the other. His posture screamed a strict uprising, and his eyes unnatural, making him squint as if trying to decide whether there was something fake about them, or just something he’d never encountered before.
Bringing his hands up with ease, his own quickly gesture in return, not holding back seeing as the man obviously had a good grasp on the language.
“-Well, that’s a relief. I don’t like talking much. Gotta warn you though, this area’s not really the best place to visit on your own.-”
He pauses for a second and brings up a hand, beginning to sign something but choosing not to, instead raising both and continuing along.
“-I work as a handyman of sorts, I could offer my services to you. Don’t think anyone will mess with you if I stick with you, but I ain’t free.-”
Worick will absolutely kill him if he gets in any trouble with this rich dude and squeezes nothing out of him in the process.
“-I can serve as a bodyguard. Tour guide bit’s free, though.-”
❝Oh?❞
So this is definitely the easier way of communicating with him; whether by birth or by consequence, this man had been living this way for a while. Virus could tell by the fluid movements of his hands; though as he signs a few things, Virus can also tell how amused he is by Nicolas's words. Aah. . So it came down to money, then. Virus had plenty of that, and there was more where it came from, too. He moves his hands down and pats his pockets, if only to outright grab his checkbook. He hands it over to Nicolas without even a moment of thought -- After all, the account went straight to Toue's personal safe account.
┌Name your price, I could care less about frivolous things like that. My life is worth far more than any dollar amount, so go ahead and keep that for now. As for the tour. .┐
He continues along, gaze settling upon a certain cramped walkway. It reeks of bleach, but it's hard to cover a scent he recognized too well. Brightly coloured hues settle onto the ground as he steps forward and crouches, fingertips touching at the shattered stone atop the concrete. He rubs his fingers together, as if testing its density, before standing up once more to face Nicolas and offer signs in return.
┌How often are violent crimes committed here? Are they drug-related, maybe hate crimes? Or simply hunts?┐
It wasn't as though Virus wanted to play detective; it was just in his job description. Having a native, particularly strong person on his side was advantageous for both his survival and his knowledge -- he may as well use it, considering knowledge is what Toue cared about most.

i have a lot of followers but im only writing with a couple which is basically crazy, so like this post if you want me to toss you a starter.
fudatsuki
Something of a grunt slips past his lips. He was regretting this more and more with each passing question. Would it be childish of him to wish everyone could sign? Possibly, not that he cared. His eyes narrow as the other man steps past him, and he waits until he turns around once again to raise a hand and point to his own ear.
“Nicolas. I can’t hear. Face me when you talk.”
Or not, suit yourself. Won’t be able to understand shit you’re saying, though.
He waits for words, then thinks over that question. It was a simple enough one, with an even more simple answer. It was dangerous for everyone, including himself.
“Depends on how well you can fight.”
His lips curl up at his own words as he begins to walk, he wasn’t gonna show him around by standing around in one place.
“Why are you here?”
❝Oh?❞
Virus offers a stare at that, lips parting as he listens to the sound of the other male's voice, along with the statements he was making. He seems almost taken aback; it was so usual for him to encounter people like this with no ailments, that he hadn't really considered it. Ah, well. . All that time alone studying as a child would pay off now, wouldn't it?
❝I see.❞
His hands raise, moving rather quickly. After all, Virus didn't have all the time in the world, and if this was how they'd be talking then he wasn't going to be wasting time. He almost seemed to form shapes when he 'spoke', lithe fingertips expertly forming precisely what he wanted to say. Then again -- He wasn't one for mistakes, nor would he tolerate making them.
┌It's a pleasure, Nicolas. I prefer not to get my hands dirty. Physical violence is far beneath me.┐
He does, however, offer a vague smile as not to come off as too terribly suspicious -- After all, it wasn't exactly the usual, even where he was from, to know how to do things of that nature. Were it not for the environment he was raised in, no doubt he'd have no clue, though he may have found it an interesting hobby later.
┌Pardon, I'm afraid I haven't used anything of this nature in a while, though; if you must know, I'm here on work. My boss would like to know more about what happens in these back roads.┐
That was certainly not true -- Toue could've cared less as to what happened here, but for someone to point him away from the area in the first moments of arrival, well, you could say it piqued Virus's interest. He follows closely, though he doesn't once forget a detail of the surrounding area.
fudatsuki:
Not necessarily, no. Cold, is all he sees when looking into them, not that it’s anything new. He’s used to vacant eyes, seen them his whole life. Still, Worick was out working his weekend job, and he didn’t really have much to do other than feed stray cats. He holds his ground as the stranger steps closer, eyes quickly scanning him for weapons and finding no sign of one. If he had one, he was obviously not planning on accessing it easily. His shoulders relax, and his left hand lowers to rest against the handle of his sword, fingers flexing instinctively over it.
Hm. Sure. Why the hell not. .
Worick would probably be annoyed if he knew he was escorting someone for free, but the thought alone only fuels the impulse.
He looks over the stranger once again, tongue clicking as he resigns to speaking, though as little as possible.
“Name?”
Those same eyes dart to the other male's sword, settling along where his palm rest on the hilt. It wasn't unusual to see swords where he was from, though it was frowned upon -- Then again, anything that went against the 'norm' of the sheep-like citizens was considered wrong. To have a weapon like that needed finesse; he could assume this man was trained. His hues linger down further, staring at the tags that jingled against his neck. Now what were those for? Presumably decoration; he'd never seen a fashion statement like whatever this was, but he wasn't particularly one to talk, either.
❝Virus. And you?❞
If the larger male preferred not to speak, then so be it; Virus would be glad to do the talking, which is why he moves past the other male to look around in curiousity. This town in itself seemed fairly old, but the back roads were shady at best. It reminded him of the backroads in Platinum Jail, not that he would mention it.
❝This seems to be a quaint place you have here. Tell me, how dangerous is it for someone like me?❞
Somehow, this man probably wouldn't be able to tell Virus was referring to someone with a quick wit and unsettling gaze, but it was worth asking.
fudatsuki:
Nicolas knows it’s not wise for visitors to stick around, but he’s not one to preach, or care for strangers for that matter. His hand lowers and he shifts on his spot, heavy shoulders settling as his arms cross and he nods.
If this man is wise he’d make the choice to leave on his own. He raises an eyebrow in thought, however, and wishes there was a more simple way to ask.
Why are you taking the back-roads? It’s dangerous, you know?
Were he one to speak up, he’d warn him about the Dog Tags, but the thought alone feels bitter. Were he one to speak up, he’d warn him about himself.
This time, his hand points towards the main roads, pointing a few times to indicate for him to go that way.
Come on, don’t get yourself killed.
“Go.”
❝Ooh. .? Not the talkative one, hm? That's quite alright. Though I'm not sure I appreciate being kicked out as soon as I got here. No way to treat a new acquaintance, you know.❞
He smiles broadly, if only to approach the other male without much commentary. He's still watching, still staring, still documenting every little thing in the back of his mind -- Without a doubt, he was collecting information -- though he follows the trail of the other male's finger to gaze towards the main roads. Now what would he need with going there?
❝I appreciate the concern, but I assure you I'm here on purpose. This is where everything interesting happens, right? I'll see my way out when I have more to say about the general area. If you'd like to assist me in that, I'd be in your debt. . After all, I'm afraid I came alone.❞
Look at those big, blue, heartless eyes. . Doesn't it make you want to show him around?
fudatsuki:
He squints. . No, definitely blonde. . His eyes avert for a second, lips parting to speak, but shutting once again with a shrug.
Raising a hand, he points towards the city’s outskirts, way past the horizon.
Exit’s over there, you know.
He watches the other male's actions closely; calculating, studying. Brightly coloured hues narrow on the other male's darker own, memorizing his expression, his silence. His brows twitch, but he doesn't comment on it; in fact, he keeps his leisurely position, his gaze following the raise of the other male's finger.
❝Aah, that's where I just came from. I'm actually here to investigate the land, perhaps see a few things here and there. . ❞
Correction; Toue wanted to know how plausible it was to expand.
❝Considering you haven't jumped for my throat yet, I'm assuming you're not doing anything wrong, nor am I. Are you from these parts?❞

“Tch, hardly what I meant, but I suppose you’re still going to take it as you wish. Ha, you didn’t think I’d kick the bucket soon, did you? Making smart decisions and avoiding situations that don’t need my involvement are what I’m best at, so consider my intelligence to be admirable more so than my determination.”
❝Your intelligence. . I do wish I could see more of it. What are you interests, if I might be so bold to ask? I do implore you to know that while such a thing is rare; it would be an honour to make your true acquaintance.❞
