Some of you I’m roleplaying with on Nah in case you didn’t recognize this account. If you have already been tagged then feel free to ignore this!
“Great! I can always start with your signature.” Sora smiled lightly, taking out a paper and pen from his pocket. These pockets did come in handy. Especially since he was unable to bring any of his potions or elixirs with him, he had more space to put his things away. “There we go. And if I run into any of your friends and they see your signature, they might agree to it as well. Besides, who wouldn’t want to spend some time in the beach with friends? It’s always a great hangout.”
Mami blinked in mild surprise as he withdrew the pen and paper. Talk about prepared! Sora must have been really serious about seeing this idea through.
“That’s a great idea.”
Balancing the paper on her left palm after it was handed to her, she scrawled her signature at the uppermost left corner.
“That should do it. I’ll let my friends know, too. I know we’re not the only ones that’d love to spend a day on the beach.. Oh, please forgive me. I almost forgot to ask for your name. I’m Mami Tomoe.”
[Lately Natsu had been growing bored since there wasn’t much to do and he hadn’t been able to fight at all so he was growing more and more impatient for the lack of stuff to do for him and just as he was wandering aimlessly.]
Ahhh…. this is so boring…
Happy: So boring…
[He was about to go looking for some thugs merely to kick the hell out of them to relieve his boredom but as he was considering this, he noticed a familiar figure on the distance and had to rush to her and make sure she didn’t notice him just so he could sneak behind her and cover her eyes and allowing Happy to be the one asking.]
Rather than shrug off this strange encounter, Mami decides to play along. It wasn’t often the magical girl was able to indulge in the playful, childlike interactions that she and her classmates partook in once upon a time.
“Hmm,” What a tricky question!
“Do I get any hints?”
The voice wasn’t one she immediately recognized. It’d been a while since she’d spoken with Natsu, after all! Thankfully she had a few clues to go off of. Taking both the height and masculine tone of the individual behind her into consideration, Mami had at least a good idea of who wasn’t behind her.
“Of course-a! Hope is-a very powerful thing: even when things seem bad, sometimes such a thing that can be-a seen as ‘simple’ like that can save-a the day.” Fond memories of people’s ‘hopes and wishes’ saving him from many a bind, there. The last battle against Bowser when he stole the Star Rod - fighting the Shadow Queen - and even some people in the Smash Tourneys shared that view, so for him: he believed very strongly in it as a result of it.
That aside, the pace of the other was easy enough to keep pace with - if the situation of him being lost hadn’t been such a concern, it almost would have felt like leisurely exploring a new world at one’s own pace. He felt a little silly for missing the entrance to the distract, though: now that he’d been led to it, it was so obvious! Hey, he’d been told a few times he sometimes had to go back and re-check things due to his hastiness and energy missing them the first time, though, so it wouldn’t have been the first time.
“It certainly doesn’t-a look far! I’m sure I can find it myself now - thank-a you so much for the assistance!” An appreciative bow of the head from the plumber, before something that had probably taken a bit TOO long to realize hit him - “Ah! In all this chatting, I never did-a get to ask your name, did I? Or introduce myself - that was-a kinda silly of me, eh? Well, I’m-a Mario. It’d be nice to-a know your name, too, signorina - so I can repay the kindness someday!”
That was the right thing to do, after all - if someone helped you, you should help them back - if not able to do so right away, you should still make sure to do it eventually! Even if his skill in helping others was more physical than anything else. (Luigi was the one good at talking gently to and listening, really.)
Hope.
Eyes widening by the smallest degree, Mami took due notice of the word. Its embodiment she had yet to encounter in the city despite rumor of her presence here—where oh where could Madoka be?
Simply put, Mario wasn’t the only person looking for somebody; the sooner Mami discovered the whereabouts of all her friends, the sooner she could rest with good conscience!
“It’s nice to meet you, too,”
“My name is Mamie Tomoe.”
The prospect of a favor in return for her endeavors earns a small giggle from her.
“Don’t worry about it. I’m always happy to help. Still, if you’d really like to, why not stop by Sugar Sugar Sweet sometime? It’s the candy store in Sector 006 where I work. It’ll be my treat!”
Mami would benefit from this, too, of course; how could her boss not notice the increased business on her behalf?
Experience: "I’ve worked as a cashier for Just Desserts in the past.“
Why You Want The Job: “Who doesn’t want to work in a candy store? I’ve been looking for a job for the past month or so and think this might be the one.”
Other: —
Oh, good, good! I agree, who doesn’t!? And well, I’ll let you decide if this job is the one! So welcome aboard! ☆~(ゝ。∂)
‘d-don’t shoot !! d-don’t shoot !! i always have been nice, i always emptied my plate on dinner and i always brushed my teeth before going to sleep !! i haven’t committed a sin or something !! but please !! don’t shoot me, onee-saaaaan !!’
a slight panic overthrew the other when he saw the girl with her muskets. and he never had been that scared on his entire life. would she spare him? oh lord, he hoped so…
Somewhere along the way of taking down enemy milita Mami had crossed paths with an innocent civilian. The poor guy was terrified—all of this commotion at the mere sight of her muskets? How could Hinata ever hope to make it here if that was the case?
“I’ve given you quite a scare, haven’t I?” taking a look around, she withdrew her weapons.
“Don’t worry. It’s my job to protect people, after all. Are you alright?”
“Hopefully, if-a I keep being bold no matter the situation-a - some of my bravery might inspire some others, too-a, you know?” Okay, so sometimes jumping right into things just ended in more trouble, but in a situation like this where a lot of people were stuck in this as well? Well! He’d prefer to be optomistic and try and give some people who might worry like his bro hope.
That said, he nodded, paying close heed to the explanation. “So it’s-a underground like a secret Warp Pipe system, then?! That certainly is-a interesting!”
Leave it to Mario to get excited about ‘underground tunnels’, being a plumber and all. “Well-a, even if I don’t have a place to stay all-a my own, I’ll figure something out, heh. Go ahead and lead the way: I’ll follow!” He might look short, but he certainly knew he should be able to keep pace with another person fine, even if they were evidently younger and likely faster than him.
“I don’t see why not.” Of course she agreed; it was the very same belief that inspired Mami to appear optimistic no matter how dire the situation. If she could bring others to believe in themselves she’d considered her role as a mentor at least partially fulfilled.
Warp.. pipe? Having never heard of such a thing, the reference was lost on her. Making sense of the phrase led her to the conclusion that he was talking about a sort of network below the surface, which wasn’t inaccurate. In any case, he seemed happy enough about living there!
With his approval of her assistance, Mami did just that. Walking at a leisurely pace, the entrance to the district wasn’t too hard to find as Mario was far from the only person to live there. Despite the narrowness of the passageway, there were a number of individuals coming in and out at any time.
“It’s not a long walk from sector 004. Do you think you could find it on your own?”
While every area of Hive could be described as unusual, Mami had always found this district to be among the most mysterious. The cryptic messages sprawling the walls were unsettling, to say in the least.
Like many curious citizens, for better or for far worse the magical girl found it in her interest to explore the new portals that had appeared so suddenly throughout the city. What she found was danger in the form of armed individuals with every intention to destroy both herself and the city; thankfully, however, with her powers restored she was more than capable of fending at least some of them off in time to reach her destination.
The power being so long withheld from her, Mami had to readjust to the sensation of just being a magical girl. While one might never forget how to ride a bicycle, surely the muscles involved would ache terribly after a long period of not using them. Being able to summon her ribbons at will was so terribly convenient; she couldn’t help but wish that the scientists wouldn’t take this power away from her once more!
Entering the portal nearest her sector, she found it led to the very place she’d expected it to. The city in the sky was a near copy of the Hive she knew, save for the mysterious symbols carved into the walls that possessed an unsettling aura. For a moment she wondered if she’d arrived in a witch’s lair. It’d certainly explain all of the strange happenings as of late!
It wasn’t long until she found herself face to face with soldiers once more; summoning several muskets, she made quick work of her assailants until none was left standing in the nearby vicinity save for a blond-haired boy her age. He wasn’t armed and Mami saw no reason to perceive him as a threat just yet.
“I didn’t see you there,” she acknowledged as if he didn’t just witness her pull weapons out of thin air,
