Your influence, your control over them, isnβt something you can try to force other people to aid in. Especially not Frisk.
They are a six year old child. They are the younger brother of Kris, and youβre trying to control them too? Youβre trying to tell them what they should do? How they should destroy one of the few things they can use to keep your thoughts out of their head?
You canβt do that. You arenβt allowed to do that.
The SOUL is lucky its attempt to manipulate another one of the Dreemurrs was intercepted by Kris, because if they found out that Frisk was convinced to do what it suggested, things would not go as well for it.
Granted, things arenβt going to go well for it to begin with.
Before it can even do anything about the fact it had been found out before even begin seen by Frisk, through pure manipulation of Krisβs curse of awareness, the human thrusts their hand straight into their chest.
They may be tearing out a heart shaped object, but its not their heart, that they know... It sure does feel like it from how much it hurts when they do this.
Silently screaming through the pain, trembling as their very body tried to protest the action, Kris eventually tears their SOUL right out of their physical form. Once again, theyβre holding it in their hand... And it still feels fuzzy. Like television static.
β ...You donβt do that to them... You donβt get to do that to anyone. β Their words are strained, pain in their chest evident just from how hard it was to speak. But they didnβt care. They were seething.
You wanted to get rid of the birdcage, yeah? Well, thatβs just too bad. Because thatβs exactly where youβre going back to.
They were already in their room when they removed their SOUL, now severed from their connection to that fourth wall, the message meant for Frisk no longer able to be seen. But the rage continued.
With tremendous effort, perhaps more than needed, Kris lobs the SOUL back into the birdcage, the force of it hitting the bars forcing the whole thing back, slamming its gate closed as a result. Then, they trudge over to it, pick it up out of the red wagon, and start marching outside.
Slowly, they trudge, quiet enough to not be heard. The other Dreemurrs busy elsewhere. They only had enough time to walk outside, circle around back of the house, and stop a few feet away from the house.
They remember this part of the woods, itβs where they used to meet up with Noelle and December while Asriel was finishing up schoolwork in the house. The tree they were stopping by marking the edge of the forest that surrounds most of Hometown, and the same tree he and Noelle would try to climb while December finished up the last of her schoolwork.
But now, this was the place that Kris would set the cage down at, before beginning to dig a hole in the ground at the base of the tree with their bare hands, agony coursing through their body as they do. Eventually, the hole was deep enough that they simply just pushed the cage into it and shoved the dirt back over top.
The SOUL wasnβt quite buried six feet under like they wanted... But it was good enough.
With what little effort they had left, they trudged back around the house, back inside, closed the front door behind them, and collapsed onto the couch.
Maybe this would teach you a lesson. One youβd do good remember when you inevitably return to possessing them.
Your chance to control them is over. This isnβt the story of the fallen human anymore. Itβs the story about the Deltarune. And you donβt get to change that.

If it made the teenager feel any better she was confused by alot of thingsβ and presumably, to obtain sentience after time spent as an inanimate object or 2d representation of something was alot. Alot for a normal person, much a creature or creation just now gaining personhood. That had to have been a logical explanation, right?
Just out of sortsβ at least as far as surface level interactions goβ who knows how clever the boy wasβ or what ever was watching over his every move. Not that she was aware of this. He just made her feel uneasy. And how could he not? He barely spoke, had his eyes covered, and got into a fight every 5 minutes.
βOh reallyβ thatβs interestinβ. Ay heard some oβ tae otβer townfolks talkinβ aboot it. Aye tβink its joost a rumour or tall tale. No OONE person could have tβat mooch powerβ¦ tβen again loightners are strangeβ¦ and tae king woos..β She trailed off. Staying quiet for a while.Β He might need to press the interact key again. Not that she was purposely not paying attention to him, she just had a short attention span.
βAye wish tae coat rack woos here. Heβs a lovely conversationalistβ¦ OH YEAHβ SO YER TOWNSPEOPLE?β
The thing that stumped Kris the most was trying to figure out what it was Honey was supposed to represent in the real world. Queen was seemingly a literal computer, the card characters were playing cards, and Seam was a plush of some sort.
But what was Honey? Another plush? Something more? Perhaps a literal thing of honey? The human just has no idea.
β Iβm pretty sure theyβre real. Queen talked about them like they were real, even saw a video of them making the third fountain. Lighteners are strange, that much I can agree on. β For a moment, Kris was silent too, as Honey seemed to space out.
They didnβt want to. They wanted to be normal, to be human, to be in the Dark World and not need it. But he knew that he had to. The SOUL was used, that blinking sound rang in their ears, one that only they could hear.
β ...The uh, coatrack is busy with Ralseiβs hat, sorry... Do you mind if I ask very fast how youβve been doing in town? Found a place to settle in? β
Kris has spent most of the evening and night watching spooky videos and is vibing. The window in their room is very much covered by the blinds but theyβre vibing.
