Sorry mia. I work like 40+ hours right now. Also just had to do a commission for a an anniversary poster for another bar. Which I spent like 12 hours on in two days and I ended up not liking it. lol
I’ve redesigned him again. But this is Asher Ironbark. In my story for my character Céleste; he is like family to her. Her dueling instructor. Like an older brother to her in many ways.
I don't know why I was so nervous to share Céleste and the background I've worked on for her. Everyone in this community is so cool. I have more stuff to add and some secret history on her as well. Can't wait to draw more on her home and family. I also look forward to drawing other peoples characters and checking out the work all of you have done. <3

[Personality]
Céleste Inkwood carries a quiet, watchful presence. She is someone who seems to notice everything without appearing to look at all. She is deeply observant, attuned to subtle shifts in tone, expression, and atmosphere; the kind of person who reads what is unsaid just as clearly as what is spoken. There’s an inwardness to her, a sense that much of her world exists beneath the surface, carefully considered and rarely revealed all at once. She is patient, perceptive, and often several steps ahead in understanding others, though she rarely calls attention to it.
At first, she can come across as reserved or even distant. It is not out of coldness, but out of selectiveness. Trust is something she grants slowly but deliberately. She studies people the way one studies a text: gently, thoroughly, with an eye for hidden meaning.
But once someone crosses that quiet threshold and earns her trust, a different side of Céleste begins to unfold. Her composure softens into something warmer, more mischievous. She reveals a playful and teasing wit. It starts subtle at first before growing unexpectedly sharp and daring. There’s a rebellious streak in her, too, though it doesn’t announce itself loudly. It shows in the way she bends rules rather than breaks them outright, in private jokes, in the spark of defiance behind her eyes when she feels safe enough to let it surface.
With those she trusts she becomes more fluid and more alive. She laughs more freely, speaks more boldly and even indulges in moments of impulsiveness that contrast to her usual restraint. It’s not that she becomes a different person, but rather that she allows more of herself to be seen. Her playfulness feels intimate, almost secretive, like a hidden room only a few are invited into.
At her core, Céleste is a study in duality: composed yet curious, restrained yet quietly rebellious, distant at a glance but deeply vivid beneath.
[Backstory]
Her family is prestigious, but secretly mysterious. Known as quillsmen. Their name goes hand and hand with magical history and study. A history of well known writers and scholars. Her Great Uncle Alaric might be one of the most famous and influential of their family name of the current time, but the Inkwood name and prestige is a millennia old dating back to the time of the founding of Hogwarts itself. Alaric is renowned and considered Magic Nobility. Céleste is his ward and heir.
Lord Alaric has a tall and commanding presence. His fluffed medium length black and silver streaked hair sweeps at his face if not pulled back in a low ponytail. His deep, dark eyes are often noted for their ability to command attention and convey emotion. It is also frequently observed that he appears youthful despite his late unknown age. He looks to be in his late 40’s early 50’s when he is well past.
Céleste’s only other known ‘family’ is Asher Ironbark, a current reigning champion in dueling. He is both Céleste’s Magical Trainer and like a brother to Alaric. Asher Ironbark's towering frame and muscular build catch eyes immediately. His sandy hair is styled neatly, and his piercing light eyes scan the room with an intensity that draws attention. He’s a notoriously charming flirt and extremely charismatic.
Céleste is studious. She is quick to learn. Céleste is highly adept. She transferred in this year from Beauxbatons. Her Guardian Lord Alaric Inkwood resides in the Inkwood ancestral estate that is located along the seaside cliffs of the south of France. Asher tutors Céleste in dueling and spellcraft. And Alaric himself teaches her about ancient texts, runes, and other magical knowledge. She goes home once a month on a weekend to fulfill her heiress duties with parties and family affairs.
At eight her parents vanished while exploring ancient ruins. Following their Disappearance, two dark wizards stormed her family estate north of Paris, intent on wiping out the Inkwood bloodline. The intruders killed her caretaker, Sybil, and attacked her. After a desperate struggle where she managed to momentarily fight back, she was severely injured and left on the verge of collapse. Then she was taken in by her elusive and distant Great Uncle Alaric.
