(Hello.) You can call me nothing. Welcome to my tumblr. I mostly just share my terrible Sims 2*, Sims 3, and Sims 4 gameplay here, and share any single thing related to the Goths that crosses my feed.

Here are a few fics I'm proud of:
1 - Dead Sea: My first longfic, infinitely precious to me. This one is a retelling of the mystery of Bella Goth, inspired by one of my first playthroughs with the Goth family. It's a Sims 4 fanfic at heart <3
2 - Mind Your Goths: Sequel to DS! Yay! Mortimer Goth was warned to stay away from her. (He did not.) That's it! That's the fic!
3 - Legacy Save: Non-con underage tale of two hotties. As far as AO3/Tumblr goes in the way of non-con and such, this one's pretty tame, but do mind the tags. The premise is simple: Vladislaus wants a child. (Of his own?) No, he wants Mortimer Goth and Bella Bachelor's child. Sire his own progeny? You can't be serious. (This one is under an anon account.)
4 - Cassandra Goth Is (Not) A Vampire - Spiritual sequel to Legacy Save, following the legendary heir, Cassandra Goth, on her journey to deny she's a vampire.

She’ll tell you she’s not a vampire. He’ll tell you… oh, wait, no, he agrees. He’s an idiot. He’d have to be, because, Cassandra Goth is a vampire, and he might be the only person who doesn’t realize it.
5 - Currently (Not In World): I made a story out of glitches, centered on the CAS sim. Oh, and it's complete! Yay!

Excerpt from The Prologue: Lost
Sounds carried differently in the desert. The car engine echoed through the vast landscape, purring into the void until it finally encountered a rock or some desert bush and rattled it; then it rode back with the wind. There was an incessant buzzing sound, like angry flies swarming by your ears.
“Are those bugs?” Alexander asked his taxi driver.
The man barked a laugh, shaking the pot-belly he accumulated from years of ferrying people across the vast desert landscape, “New to this place, eh? No. No bugs yet. We’re still in the ‘quiet hours’ until the insects do come out. You’ll know ‘em when you hear ‘em.” He pointed to the illuminated sign just outside of the motel, which emitted the low humming frequency from the fluorescent bulbs. A slight breeze picked up, amplifying the noise to the familiar buzz.
“Oh.” Alexander tilted his head, his ear cocked to listen more closely to the static sound playing through the air.
His gaze traveled upward and inspected the motel pole sign:

The black lettered “C” on the sign hung akimbo from the white mylar backing. The dry breeze rattled the remaining letters barely held in their tracking. Little deposits of dust and dry sand clung to the ridges.
Alexander swallowed hard against the arid wind and nodded to himself. “Yeah, this’ll do.” He reached into the front pocket of his pants, pulling out his wallet to pay the driver. The man impatiently stood in the baking sun, hands on his hips as Alexander methodically counted out each crisp Simoleon bill, still warmed from his pocket, before handing them over for payment. “Uh, thank you,” he managed to say to the driver once the transaction was completed.
The driver sneered at the dampened bills, pocketed the money, and wordlessly returned to his car, backing it up in a K-turn to drive down the road and into the horizon. Alexander watched, a brief flicker of uncertainty that gnawed in his chest. He panicked for a moment, heart racing and palms sweaty as he reconsidered his decision. Maybe disappearing was the mistake, he thought for the briefest of moments. Then Alexander Goth shook his head, picked up his suitcase, and headed inside to the front desk to inquire about a room.
Saw a post last night of an anon telling one our fellow TS2 community members that we all need to join the TS4 community now and I just have to say— It’s so crazy that most of us have spent more of our lives playing Sims than not. I’m 27 and I’ve played for 15+ years.
EA owes us so much more than what we are given and that’s why no matter what happens in the Sims 2 community, I don’t see myself playing 4. I have in the past and, fortunately, sometimes unfortunately, it just wasn’t for me. I love seeing it on my feed though and enjoy seeing all the lovely CC. BUT even with this recent GOS stuff (I just joined this community last year and it’s a shame that I might not get to experience amazing cc that people have had in their folders for a decade) I can’t see myself playing 4. Probably never will again.
And I feel like since I’ve joined the TS2 community, it’s been hit after hit— Which sucks but I just want to take another moment on a completely lighter note to say I’m still so eternally grateful for who we have around here. There are some VERY talented, giving, beautiful people still in this community and I, for one, will not be giving up on it. S2A and GOS or not, I’m sticking around and I hope no one gets discouraged from all of this and gives up or turns to, God forbid, EA of all places. Sims 2 is still the best in the franchise, imo. And with that I am done lol.
my only input on paralives reviews and discourse is that a majority of sims player have very little experience with gaming outside of sims/casual cozy games. because having to explain what early access is and not understanding how indie games are made says a lot about how a video game consumer interact with the medium. nothing wrong with not being a big gamer (capital G) but you can't expect an indie team of 15 making an incredibly difficult genre to nail it day 1 and for it compare to multi-billion corporations.
So, I assume most of you don't know, but there is a bit of drama inside the Paralives community. It's funny because this whole thing is revolving around The Sims 3.
TwistedMexi made his first paywalled "early access" mod called Sims 3 Camera, and I've been working on the same thing as he was.
1. Let's get the "clone" allegation out of the way first.

Honestly, I didn't know I could see the future, but ok.
2. The second thing I want to address is that currently there are a lot of awful comments directed at Tmex. PLEASE do not harass other creators.
3. Regarding early access and paywalls: My mods are developed in my spare time as a passion project. I believe in keeping my work accessible to everyone, which is why all of my content will remain completely free, forever. I believe the community should play a role in maintaining projects if the original creator steps away, which is why I always share the source code for my projects
Free mods are a pillar of a healthy community, whereas paywalls only lead to gatekeeping and unnecessary drama. My hope is that more creators choose to release their mods in a way that prioritizes community growth and shared resources.
