My slim figure may make it easy for you to forget, but when I came to MMR in December I was super pregnant! All 10 of my pups were adopted by February/March and while that's great, I just want a home of my very own too! I am 5 years old, about 40lbs, and a lab mix. Here's what my foster mama has to say: "She is a wonderful girl! Barely makes a peep, is housebroken, likes her kennel but sleeps on the couch and lounge chairs in the sun during the day. Good with dogs, great with kids of all ages. She will be a good catch for someone!" So? Who's going to catch me? :D

Rambo checking in with some more details! He is 8, a Pom mix, heartworm positive (being treated). By all accounts he is a very sweet, somewhat independent boy who likes to go for walks. Mama Jazy (of Midsummer's Night litter fame) has been hard at work learning the crate is not her enemy and her furry foster will not keep the toys if she shares them. She's also been hoping that if she just sits at her skin covered foster sister's feet long enough during dinner perhaps some food will land on the floor. We don't have the heart to tell her her sister has outgrown the days of messy eating. Would you? I mean...look at that innocent little face! River the hound mix is a super sweet laid back boy. All he wants is for you to love him! River is good with people, including the littles, and he is good with other dogs and cats. But that's not all! He is also potty and crate trained and walks well on leash! Never is River more excited than when its time to eat, so he needs work on his table manners. 🍽 He will follow you around the house all day, but beware...he forgets himself and tries to lead at times so don't trip! Jethro has settled into his foster home wonderfully. His initial fear of his new surroundings seems to have subsided and there is a playfulness that just makes his new foster mama's soul sing. But he seems to know its not quite time to embrace that side yet - at least 98% of the time! It's hard to believe this is the same Jethro whose story unfolds in the links below and includes emergent intestinal AND brain surgeries on 8/8 and 8/9 to save his life. We think about how close he came to missing his ride north and are so thankful he was able to squeeze onto the transport van. This mini Irish Wolfhound is Bigs! He is 7 yo, 40lbs. Like most of us before a good cup of coffee, he is sometimes a little growls at first so he'd be best with calmer dogs and no kitties.
