gonna be real i do Not think my shadowban is gonna get undone so like. i think i may just start over. maybe separate my art/general blogs this time, which id been considering doing for a while. either way if i do ill have the new url in my blog title + make a post abt it again. im leaving this blog + account up anyways for archival purposes, and because i think its important to my recovery from the whole "deleting and remaking every 2 years" paranoia that stemmed from a cyberstalking situation that has been settled for a few years now.

i do want to change how i run my socials a bit for my own wellbeing in general, i think. and maybe a new account would be a good start. though this time im deliberately not burning the metaphorical book like ive done in the past, just putting it on the shelf to collect dust i guess. this account contains some really important moments of my life as a young adult. and even if ive got the blog archived on a SSD, id like to keep it up online too for a lot of reasons

anyways. itll be a few days or more before i get around to that new blog. so in the meantime, thanks for the 262 of you that stuck around. not a huge number but its cool that many people wanted to listen to me talk (whether that be textposts of my own, or through my art/what i reblogged)

hey im denver. i made a post like this months ago on my old account about my mom making me leave the house i lived in at the time. unfortunately my uncle, who ive been living with temporarily since then as a sort of band-aid solution, is now Also kicking me out. i have less than a month to prepare.

me and my ride or die have been planning to move in with each other closer to my girlfriend for a year and a half, and its never been closer. before the news that i was being kicked out, we were set to move within 3 months. we could really use some extra funding to help with the cost since we're having to Massively speed up plans.

the goal is $3000 USD. we already have some finances figured out, but it isn't nearly enough to cover moving costs and keep ourselves afloat while we try to find employment once we're moved.

Please remember intersex people during these next 4 years. To support and worry about us too, not just perisex trans people. Intersex people are fully affected by the idea of "only male and female allowed" laws. Intersex people are affected by anti trans laws even if not all of us are trans. Many of us can't pass or hide our features, similar to how some trans people can't. We (the systems body) for example are physically incapable of passing as "cis" unless we get surgeries and hormones which still wouldn't change the fact we're intersex. We can't blend in, we get clocked as "queer looking" no matter what we wear or how we act. Don't forget about us when making posts about protecting trans and queer people. - ❔️

it’s so wild that trumps executive order has that bit about sex being assigned at conception.

I assume this is the anti-abortion position being encoded into the anti-trans legislation. no one is testing what gametes their embryo has— such a thing isn’t possible (embryos don’t produce them yet; there are primordial germ cells, but they aren’t differentiated as sperm or egg cells).

it just goes to show that gender/sex policing is never based on any science— there is no "scientific" definition to what “female sex” or "male sex" is. It doesn’t exist as a material reality. It is a legal construct that is assigned with the first legal documentation assigned to a subject—the birth certificate.

and that isn’t based on chromosomes or gametes. it’s a decision based on whether a doctor thinks the infant will be mostly likely to be capable of penetrative heterosexual sex as “female” or “male.” because penetrative heterosexual sex is the point, the determination is based on whether the clitoris is long enough to penetrate (in which case “it’s a boy”) and if not whether there is a vaginal canal deep enough for penetration (in which case “it’s a girl”) and if neither or both are true the child’s body is forcibly surgically altered.

they can't define sex "biologically" because it is not a "biological" reality. it will be determined, as always, punitively, on a case by case basis on varying traits and legal documentation, to enforce patriarchal economic systems that depend on misogyny and transmisogyny.

one of the most telling parts from the executive order, to me, was this (emphasis mine):

"The erasure of sex in language and policy has a corrosive impact not just on women but on the validity of the entire American system. Basing Federal policy on truth is critical to scientific inquiry, public safety, morale, and trust in government itself."

this bit gives the game away with how important the institution and enforcement of sex assignment is to capitalism, the united states economy, the carceral/legal system, and the ideological buy-in to us-american hegemony.
