its 2 am so sorry if this sounds like my inner rambling. it is.

honestly i think there's a lot of stuff around it that just clicks for me.... mainly, i felt awful for Badd and Kay during AAI1-4. then there's the fact they just drop that these guys have known each other for over 10 years!!! just like that!! then there's also the yatagarasu years. there's a huge window for speculation on that and its my favorite. specially with a character like Badd ... not to make it all about him but, really, we don't have a lot about Byrne. Which is why he's also interesting, so they're both interesting, and based off the way they're talked about, these guys are different but so similar in their own ways!!

i also tend to drift more towards secondary (and older) characters. lowkey, it's more fun for me when there's not too much people engaging with a ship, because then i feel less weird if my interpretation on it goes out of the ordinary. I also LOVE Kay so just thinking of her environment growing up and how it affected her is important to me... these guys SUCK and their flaws getting passed onto her. hurts! its so fun! they enable the worst in each other in a very passionate way. They're so not committed. But also dependent on the other.

also while i think their relationship being something formal is fun (specially since the way badd talks about byrne makes it sound like they were married lmao), i love when relationships are messy and never official because the people involved are stubborn or simply DON'T want to is PEAK to me. love can be so many things besides being someone's boyfriend or girlfriend or husband or wife or anything else... sometimes you're just long time friends... and you kiss and make out and raise a child together and never say I love you but have your own little ways of expressing these things and only YOU knew the real them and then they die and you only have these memories of a person nobody else knew. Maybe it's me being aroace but i love when that line gets crossed only to snowball into something complicated. they remind me of pearl and rose

there's so many things that just make me swoon and i would never shut up so i'll leave it like this LMAO.

TLDR: I'M CURIOUS ABOUT THESE CHARACTERS AND THE GAME DOESN'T GIVE US ENOUGH SAUCE SO I LOVE IMAGINING ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES FOR A LITTLE DOOMED FAMILY
