Hello Again, New and Old
I would like to apologize for the blog being inactive so long. The long and short of my absence is a mix of IRL responsibilities, personal relationships, and the overall exhausting state of the world that made regular maintenance of this blog very difficult. When you have a lot to do, something's lose priority, and I didn't consider a small confessional (in a niche fandom that gets maybe 4 confessions in a good month) to have high priority.
And to be honest, I part of me fell out of love with fandom itself. It's simply not the same as ones 10, 20 years ago. A little too much fighting, too little patience, too many people making mountains out of a mole-ant hill. Some of you may know what I'm talking about (the blog is no stranger to "hot takes"), if you don't: honestly good. The internet in a lot of spaces is not good for actual, patient good-faith discussion and some of us reading these discussions… Probably are not at an appropriate age or head space to even have those discussions. Ahem.
Anyway, it's just one person behind the blog now. You can call me Mod or Admin or something. I don't think I will open a mod position since there's simply not enough volume for it and I don't have someone I know and trust to handle it.
The blog is not closing. I will try to come on occasionally to schedule confessions and the ask box will stay open. I think we scheduled an update that never happened, maybe I'll do that. I think all the tags were updated too, correct me if I'm wrong.
I sincerely hope everyone has been leading happier, healthier lives in the time the blog has been inactive, and will continue to in the far future. Past the blog truly cannot continue. For every meeting, there is a parting. But for now we're still here :)
