I dont understand why some folks feel the need to insert bigotry (namely homophobia) into the earthbound universe, especially since it goes against what Itoi intended. The fact that homophobia gets forced into the universe, usually in the context of JeffTony, feels weirdly fetishistic. Just let a couple of gay kids be happy and in peace, y'know?

Answering the last ask (about an anon saying they find shipping cute), I definitely agree! I like dramatic stories that aren't about a ship, but it's not a reason to hate on people who like light romantic stories. I think one of the main problems people could have with ships in the Mother series is that the fandom mostly ships the children. I understand how it can be seen as weird

shipping is fun and gives me lots of inspo. some confessions are tired of it like cool, but dont hate. not everyone wants to write novelized eb or some big sequel, some of us want cute ships or romance drama. if you want something besides shipping please do it yourself
