That ending really has me confused. Not only did it hurt, but c’mon if you’re going this route Capcom, at least confirm a season 2 because this cannot be how Leon and Claire end.

They have too much history together. I’d like to believe that Leon is just trying to protect Claire, but who knows. You can see that she is clearly mad at him because it seems like in that moment she can’t trust him, the one person she’s shown to trust other than Chris throughout the whole entire series. They’ve had each other’s backs since 1998, I have no clue what Capcom is trying to pull this time, but i hope it gets resolved.

If there is a season 2, Claire has every right to be mad at Leon. They could’ve at least made him explain himself to her, but instead they had him stand there and nod.

there genuinely needs to be a conversation about how white people approach genshin impact's issues regarding racism and how it's either swept under the rug or they performatively make a deal out of letting everyone know they're going to stop playing the game and then pick it up again 2 weeks later when everything has "died down". it happend on twitter, it will happen on here too and what enrages me is not ppl denouncing it but the white ppl who only do so to not be one of "the bad ones" without fully addressing the issues. anyways here's everything wrong with genshin impact (off the top of my head. other poc feel free to include anything else you can think of under this)

- sumeru being based off of just "the middle east", treating MENA like it's a cultural monolith instead of an incredibly diverse part of west asia and north africa with a plethora of different cultures, people and practices not to mention that they include india, a south asian country, under this

- natlan, another country ingame, is suffering similar issues to sumeru wherein its based off of indigenous people however the different practices of different indigenous people are given no thought and are lumped together in, again, a big cultural monolith

- hilichurls being blatantly based off of indigenous people and their cultures, being treated as "brutes" and dangerous monsters, and generally portrayed in an extremely racist manner. i've seen other poc here comment how they could/are also based off of uyghur people

- mihoyo releasing a character from a clan that are canonical colonialists that enslaved brown people, that character being written as sympathetic yet trying to "restore the family to its former glory"

- the general treatment of kaeya and xinyan, the only brown characters released so far, both ingame and by white fans: treating kaeya as "suspicious" and xinyan as "scary", fans either whitewashing them or portraying them as "secretly evil". kaeya at one point was described as "exotic" in the english version of the game. it was subsequently changed after backlash from poc

something else i want to add. mihoyo is a multimillion dollar company and genshin impact has a decently sized fanbase behind it. and a lot of people are overestimating what putting it in DNIs is going to accomplish. mihoyo puts out near monthly surveys in game and you can freely write criticism about it there or email them about it or post on their very much public forums. the most important influential thing i think is not giving them your money though do keep in mind there's whales spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on it monthly already. tell mihoyo what you think and don't stop until they do something about it and though it may seem like crumbs, the only reason kaeya's description as ""exotic"" was changed was due to heavy backlash from the community
