Hey so maybe don't use AI to make stuff

My homepage somehow got covered in AI slop. Yes, piracy is fine, but don't use AI to promote it. All you do when you use AI to send a message is make your message look bad and make it very clear you don't give a damn about the ecosystem or the people who have to live near data centers.

aside from the obvious not supporting big brands/fast fashion and saving money, thrifting is genuinely one of the best ways to find the coolest clothes ever

(i know thrifting is good for more than clothes, but this is what I'm yapping about right now)

I found these great boots at a goodwill. They were black calf high lace up boots, and aside from the top part, heel, toe, and sole of the boots, the whole thing was netting/fishnet material but more durable. They had nice loops on the sides I used to put kandi chains on them. Wanna know how much they were? 14 bucks. They were perfectly intact except for a small hole in the part between the sole and the heel part. I might post a picture of them at some point, because they're really cool and I love them.

I found a two pack of opaque tights for about fiveish dollars. They didn't fit, so I ended up cutting them up into arm warmers and thigh highs.

I found a velvet skirt. I think it was about fifteen dollars. I posted a picture of it on my blog because I modified it. The zipper was broken, but I replaced it with a row of eyelets and a ribbon. It took me about two hours to do but it was worth it.

And that's barely any of the things I've found. There are so many wonderful things you can find at a thrift store.

I really like the results and it fits even better than it used to.

For context this is a skirt I thrifted a while ago and had to modify when the zipper broke.

being able to cook and enjoying it is genuinely so great

Especially since I have very specific food preferences. If I don't like what's for dinner I can throw some ground beef in a pan, then dump it onto a tortilla with rice and lettuce and cheese.

I can throw together some elote for a snack or quickly pan fry some pork for a meal.

I just memorized like five recipes and make sure to keep the ingredients on hand and I can always eat something I enjoy.

If you really want to read the Harry Potter books for nostalgia and you own copies/can get them from the library, fine. I don't like it, but fine.

If you want to rewatch the movies and you own DVDs of them or can borrow them from the media section of your library or a friend, I don't like it, but again, fine.

I, and most people with basic decency, draw the line at the Harry Potter show. JK Rowling has said she's going to use the money that show makes to fund anti trans bills and make trans people's lives hell.

You cannot watch the show ethically. You cannot go to the stupid Harry Potter theme park thing ethically. You cannot buy new Harry Potter books, movies, and merch ethically. You cannot make a social media account dedicated to Harry Potter content ethically.

Because whether you realize it or not, when you watch that show or buy those books new, you are telling the world you do not give a singular damn about trans people. You are saying that you want trans people to suffer for the sake of your goddamn nostalgia. You know on some level what you are doing with your money, so don't you dare say this isn't what you want when you support that franchise.

You have a choice. A shitty book series made by a bigot or the literal lives of millions of people. And it says a lot about some of you based on what you pick.

I make so many random references and it's so bad. No one wants to hear me yell "HE MUSTVE FLIPPED MY WIFE EIGHT TIMES" in a public area with no context.

Let people know you like their work! It takes a lot of time and effort, and interaction with their content can be very motivating. One of the worst feelings is an amazing fanfic that's unfinished and hasn't been updated in months or years. Interacting with work can prevent that.

i hate when people act like you aren't allowed to like an artist's most popular song

It's popular for a reason. Besides, it's not like I haven't listened to their music, and I hate getting called a poser or treated like I don't "actually" enjoy someone's music because I like a popular song.

For example, Fukouna Girl is one of my favorite Stomach Book songs. I've listened to her music, and I still really like it. I just think it's good, ok? It's tied for my favorite Stomach Book song with Bambi
