Decided to share a lil idea for a webcomic jus came up with!! No idea if it'll actually come to fruition though, maybe sometime in future cause i got other priorities right now. It called Lucky Lucky Carousel, and it about Juno Iwasaki (pictured above), a Japanese man struggling with depression, family issues, and his identity. The comic detail him coming to terms with himself, exploring fashion, making friends, and unlearning mindsets he got taught as a kid.
Also, only realize this after completing the image, but don't mind the mistake with formatting the Japanese, lol. Will fix it in future arts.
This was a quick test for a potential webtoon or tapas format for my Maite project. I don't yet have a computer fit for art, but I downloaded FireAlpaca to the laptop I am borrowing. The "linework" was sketched on plain paper.
I am going back and forth on using some of the raunchier dialogue I've written for the project (If I make it at all). The setting I have in mind, inspired by the Mediterranean during the late Bronze Age is a bit darker than some of the materials I've previously written.
Within the story, Maite is a fugitive traveling alongside a phoenician-greek noble: Lykao. To protect her identity, Maite usually dresses as a man who most people assume was castrated. Her and Lykao's odd buisiness partnership often draws inquiry wherever they travel.
I'm also debating over modifying Lykao's name to be more hellenized, phoenician, or allude to his sub-saharan african ancestry. All of this is to say that that his name may change by the time I come closer to deciding whether or not I will pursue this project.
New webcomic idea: it follows Christian punk rock band and it delves into how each member struggles with their Christianity and in the end of the comic they each overcome what they struggle with. They still struggle a little as we all do but they all have renewed faith in God and encourage each other in the Bible
oh hey there. Uh. Is anyone interested in me posting about a webcomic I’m working on? It’s about a zombie apocalypse with Creature elements but it’s kinda less about the zombies and more a social experiment about the nature of people that I explore through characters that come from very different backgrounds. Tis set in vaguely the near future, the main thing you need to know is there was a nuclear war and several years later after a nuclear winter zombies showed up. Oh yeah, it’s also fairly dark so,, warning in advance ig
there are 7 mcs:
zero - strange science experiment that is learning about personhood and dealing with memory loss. She has regeneration abilities!
ollie - sassy blorbo with mediocre sword skills. Maybe a little bit insane from his time living alone and eating any plant he finds. Working through trauma and a revenge plot against creatures that are essentially gods
sierra - pining badass lesbian. Kind and wants her (not yet) wife to stop adopting strays. Dual sword wielder. Looks out for her own. All honesty, she’s a bit of a mess but nonetheless hyper competent when she deems it necessary
mech - resident theorist about why the world went to shit. Endlessly frustrated that no one else seems to be questioning the zombies (they’re focused on survival first). Also has skills in tech (side note, thus far I’ve been operating with a minimal amount of supplies for tech in the worldbuilding, so everything is fairly rudimentary but there’s enough equipment around to possibly build complex things. Toying with their level of tech rn)
carl - serial killer. No, really, he’s very good at murdering people. Fortunately this is mostly aimed at zombies (though do try not to make yourself an obstacle to him). Somehow vaguely emotionally competent
vanessa - pining lesbian #2 (though she doesn’t know it). Field medic with a strong code against killing. Tries not to adopt the sad children, always fails. Cold and straight to the point (no bedside manner here)
lyla - lil scrunkle. So small. So pure. Oh she’s shaking. Oh she’s a little fucked up actually. This poor traumatised kid (I regret nothing). Enjoys the small critters and wears a cat hoodie. The first of Vanessa and Sierra’s children
anyway that’s the concept, I’ve been working on this for a couple years now so shout if you want more in depth world building (god PLEASE let me yap about my lore it just keeps adding to itself and I’m not even done)
I used to read a lot of webcomics and I’ve had ideas about the one I would make but never actually wanted to make it.
In my mind, the protagonist is interviewing for a job at a chicken restaurant. She’s been unemployed and struggling for a while so she’s hungry. The interviewer scheduled the interview during their lunch break, so asks if it’s okay if they eat and offers some. They both order chicken.
Cut to the end of the interview. Our protagonist notices discarded bones on the interviewers plate. Our protagonist has no bones.
Did she eat the bones? Was she so hungry she swallowed the bones? Why are there only sometimes bones?
She resumes focus. The manager says “great! You know when your first day is, you’ve got your packet to fill out for HR, welcome aboard”
Our protag nervously smiles and leaves.
Later, she’s on her laptop with her sister looking at the menu. They’re flabbergasted. It just says “chicken”.
Compass Alliance: A Wide Circle - A new idea that i came up last night, right before we'll enter 2026...
A storyline that'll be set all around the world, where the members of the compass alliance (Paladin, Lady Astral, Voltage, Dragon Fighter, Size, and Mariposa) are looking global after a new heroes for a new initiative, right after a mysterious evil organization emerging out of the shadows...
Part of the new heroes that will be introduce in the new storyline, we can find:
Senaka the naga, El Zoro of Argentina, Leviathan, Tigress of India, Bulldog, Motorhero, Princess Cloudy, Danno the Magician, Squire, Albion of The UK, The comedic Shrimp, the Electrician, Queen Sheba, Cyrus Blade, The demon Asmodeus, the cosmic Kochvia, Obelisk and Shrink.
The storyline is a little bit inspired by season 5 of teen titans, and Grant Morrison's Batman Incorporated Run
