My name’s Moth, I’m 24 years old and I’ve been all over the internet — and by all over I mean Google Plus, Facebook, Instagram, here, Twitter, and all the other uber popular ones.~

It’s getting harder and harder to find social medias and platforms where art posting feels supportive and less like I’m feeding the global warming machine my work without consent— so I’m making Tumblr my kinda… archive, comic prep blog? A place where I can post my thoughts and most recent processes going into these.

SO, about my work!…

I do digital artwork and pen to paper. I’m a big collector of cool art to reference, photography, poses, and weird little creations that I find. My work spaces are often really messy, most of my posts tend to be WIPS and sketches.

I’m a big collaborative person with my partners and close friends. Some of my works are inspired by roleplays in a text or at a the tabletop— now turned into comics, and one shots for the fact that I’ve waited for so long and truly just want to post my work instead of keeping it to myself out of fear of everyone else around me. B-)

vampirism poses the question "what if there was a fundamental, horrible, unending well of want in your soul that, if truly satisfied, would lead to great pain for all those you hold closest and, in turn, their absolute and total revilement of you?" and naturally as a person with no problems I don't relate to this in any way at all.

vampirism also poses the question "what if someone you loved, through no fault of their own, needed something from you, and giving it to them and seeing them happy provided you the greatest joy, and you were the only one who could do it, but at the same time it was slowly draining all your life out of you?" which is also a completely unrelatable idea to me because I'm a normal person with no issues.

how do science fiction writers make their settings/verses make sense

i feel like an insane conspiracy board connecting weirdo trying to convince the mass populous that everything is an unintended side affect of a rotting universe machines

“the planet’s core is a computer desk!!!” i scream shakily, “everytime it crashes a part of the solar system dies!!!”

“okay grandma, whatever you say,” my grandkids say as they pull my life support

my space setting is named cosmic catalyst ,

or coscat for short,

it’s a world where the galaxies we live in are the slow turning gears to a dying universal machine. as the cells of the machine breaks down, the energy that is released (planetary plasma) is recorded to be a direct cause of evolution.

instead of letting theirs release slowly, the humans of earth developed a specialized drilling rig to mine this plasma from the surface of the earth’s core, kickstarting a mass evolution in technology (and an early planetary collapse).

the two key developments from this found fuel are:

- body modifications, that vary from aiding people with disabilities to creating super heroes. the first generation of heroes were created in 1998, the last generation were born in 2065.

- interplanetary travel technology made massive leaps. planetary plasma was a type of fuel that allowed for safer launches because it wasn’t a combustible material. it was dubbed “leap fuel” after a test launch sent a robot-manned flight past mars.

i’m not going to go too deep into the mechanics of either, but these advancements allowed for human colonization on mars by 2008. unfortunately since it was headed by america, it started militaristic.

i’m not the biggest science fiction nerd, but i’m starting to ease my way in. the best way i know how is to make characters for this world. ✨ thankfully i’m joined by my partner for it.

clancy dewan, 25/26, cis male — 🇮🇳 / 🇮🇩 / 🇬🇧

once an up and coming pilot for the milky way united’s military, turned runaway space highway man after blowing up earth’s moon accidentally.

his father was a famous astro-archeologist and was among the many people researching how long lost extraterrestrial civilizations worked with planetary plasma. clancy’s mother is a star ship pilot for the milky way united’s military, and her father is a general stationed on some other planet in the galaxy.

his persona is “kid djinn”

using body modifications he received , he channels fire through his body. an artificial vent attached to the small intestine siphons and digests carbohydrates. using an implant in the upper spine, a message is given to bone marrow to produce extra blood. this extra blood passes through an added chamber that turns it into planetary plasma.

carbohydrates + p-plasma are then bound in blood vessels whenever clancy activates the “turn on fire” command. the blue flames shooting out of the vents in his shoulders, biceps, and crown are a result of this.

due to the properties of the p-plasma, the fire is entirely under clancy’s control. when asked about it, he feels like the fire is apart of him. shooting them off to him feels like clipping his nails or cutting his hair.

while clancy is the ship’s captain; olive is the weapon’s master. a nine foot tall bio-android. this is my partner’s oc, we’re still working on ‘em. :-3

this is going to sound extremely mean but like:

there's something weirdly annoying about the white people in my notes patting themselves on the back for doing something normal. this post isn't really an invitation for me to evaluate your oc but rather a vent drawing about how people don't really draw black folks with the same kind of love black or people close to us do.

it's just really annoying seeing white people in my notes just, not understanding this fully and thinking they deserve a cookie for correcting how they draw black people or not falling into the trope at all.

it seems like I have to be meaner towards white people too, because some of y'all have such an uwu baby victim mentality when it comes to a black person being slightly upset at your ignorance and "ME FIRST!!!" attitude

i don't care if you have pride flags or pronouns in your bio, if you want to be inclusive and understanding of black people maybe learn to shut the fuck up and listen to us while we're talking and include us in your spaces more.

what you're doing is clearly tokenizing. "it's ok to get a cookie uwu" thanks for taking my metaphor for how white people want praise for doing basic allyship towards racial minorities and turning it into an infantilizing performative baby talk for other insecure whites.
