What a vague answerâŠshe would have to narrow it down a bit to find a subject to start with.
âWellâŠwere you having problems with the academics of our own language? Or maybe English? Which one are you having more trouble with; we can start with that one.â She suggested, before quieting down to allow the boy to answer.
At the very least, like she promised, it wasnât a long walk. Even while she was asking for more of an answer, they were at the doors to the cafe. âIâve got my laptop and a few books with me right now, so weâll be able to start with either. It just depends on your preference.â
Oh god, it only got worse; heâd go ahead and say âeverythingâ, but he wanted to maintain at least a little dignity. Maybe he could get help with one of them with Naomi, and then try to set aside some time at home to study the other later.
âAhh... I guess... English. Thatâs definitely one of the worst ones for me right now. Homophones specifically... Ah... if thatâs alright with you.â He wasnât exactly sure what topics she was brushed up on, and which ones she wasnât, so this was a bit of a stab in the dark.
While he was busy mentally cursing at himself - which he seemed to do more and more these days - he opened the door to the cafe, holding it open for Naomi.
