it’s okay to have an off day it’s okay to have an off week it’s okay to have an off month it’s okay to have an off year as long as you pick yourself up after, forgive yourself, recognize you have a whole life yet unlived, and just move on and live it
[03.01.18] Made bullet journaling a crafty hobby 😄

[02.01.18] Hi everyone! I have received a lot of feedback on my one page note summaries. I had always planned on sharing some of them with you all in PDF format but never had the time to. So here are some of my favorites and most requested! :D
Amino Acids
Cross-Bridge Cycle
Hypothalamic-Pituitary Axis
Mitochondria & Electron Transport Chain
The Digestive System Overview
The Kidney Overview
The Periodic Table & Trends
Viruses
Notes made with Noteability on the iPad. I don’t actually make notes like these anymore because they are quite time consuming and I find it much easier to have physical notes- they are less easy to ignore! But drawing on an iPad is far easier (you can erase and move lines etc etc ) so I like to draw diagrams and print them out sometimes.
[01.28.18] MCAT Tip: Work on your weaknesses but also remember to review your strengths. Constant reviews will get the info into long-term memory, and it will be easier to recall on test day! (via: Instagram)

[01.23.18] The way to success is to improve on your weaknesses no matter how “boring” the topic may be. This is what I’ve been told by a few med students who have surpassed the MCAT. I keep the following information in my mind when I feel unmotivated to work on the subjects I’m not always good at.
Just think about it. The reason why we learn physics prior to attending medical-related school to become a physician, PA, nurse, dentist, etc. is to be able to apply this knowledge toward blood pressure, gas exchange, and many more during the rigorous coursework that is learned in grad schools. The reason why CARS is important is to test your ability to critically analyze a passage to apply the information toward potential situations to get to an answer. For example, in whatever grad school program you choose, the papers you read, the chapters you read for lectures.. in order to answer a question such as, “A patient was brought to the emergency room with water intoxication, which involves swelling and damage to certain parts of the central nervous system. Damage to which of the following structures in the CNS will have the most fatal consequences that could possibly lead to death?” it would require background knowledge on the renal system, the digestive system, and the nervous system. Critical analysis and reasoning skills will be beneficial in this situation because it requires one to analyze the situation to determine what organ systems are affected, how they are affected, and how homeostasis is disrupted to come up with reasoning as to why damage to a certain area of the central nervous system could lead to death if not treated.
With that said, as long as you see slight improvement in your weaknesses, you know that you’re doing something right!
