As the class went on, he closed his eyes. He fell asleep once or twice, but every time he did, the teacher would smack a desk and he’d immediately jump and fall out of his chair, resulting in laughter. It was bad enough he rarely slept well, it was even worse when he was frightened awake like that. Heaving a sigh, he was able to finally stay awake for the rest of the time.
He reached up to rub his cheek a bit and started towards the front of the room. He didn’t notice that she was out of it, he didn’t really notice much of what happened. He was too worn out from last night to really notice much of anything. Once the class was over he sighed and moved to rest his forehead on the cool surface of the desk. As he did so, his shoulder was tapped and he heard her voice again.
Blinking a bit tiredly he moved his head to gaze at her. She looked like she had something important to tell him.
“Mm? Ja? What is it?”
皆川 素子; She froze when he answered her back, half not expecting an answer at all. She stared at her hands for a few moments trying to regain her composure, trying to regain the words she had meant to speak.
"Ah yes-- - I couldn't help but wonder about, your situation," she lowered her voice a bit, not wanting anyone who could be around to listen in. After all, this was something private for the two of them, and rumors flew fast at Kaibara High School.
"Simply put, you shouldn't continue to stay out on the streets like that. Things can get dangerous no matter how 'street savvy' you may be. I'd rather you continued to stay at my house until you found a permanent residence. -- -I know i'm not the best option that would come to mind, but better than getting mugged."
