Name: Trix

Gender: Nonbinary, They/Them
Misc: Member of Heavens Devils. Child of Plasma.
(Mango’s voice comes through the radio, sounding bored)
-Hey Trix, you free?-
@mangomisfit-kjrp
"Hey. Yeah, I'm free! Just painting."
The sound of a brush scraping against the bottom of a paint tin can be heard.
-I don’t suppose you could come over?-
(Mango asks, but doesn’t expect a yes)
"Yeah, actually... I should be able to come over. Let me just put my painting up to dry."
-Thank you.-
(Mango sighs to aemself, cutting off)
Mango gets to the bar, in a pair of black jeans and their favorite green flannel, with some well-worn boots on.
(Banana opens the door for them)
Hey- Mango told me to wait for you. Ae’re in their room.
(Banana is wearing a banana split print set of trousers and a green frilly blouse. Mango’s sat up in bed upstairs, wearing a red sweater and ugly pink sweatpants- one ankle bandaged in a splint)
"Thanks. You shiny?" Trix offers a smile, stepping inside.
Hanging in there.
(Boom manages a smile)
Your friend works well. Your recommendation couldn’t have been better, by the way.
Trix smiles proudly. "Good to hear he's still got it."
Certainly does.
(Banana opens the little bar cover so Trix can head upstairs)
Trix mutters thanks and walks upstairs. "Mango?"
Here.
(The voice comes from a door with peeling orange and red paint, a crooked sign with the word “Misfit” on it. Inside, Mango is still sat up, splinted ankle on display above the blanket)
Trix knocks before coming in. "Heyo."
Hey!
(Mango waves. The room is medium sized, a desk piled with magazine cutouts and old scripts opposite the bed, a part of the floor scraped where the wardrobe used to be and a small set of draws next to that empty gap. At the end of the bed is a bookshelf with a small set of literature, and every bit of furniture is red, orange, yellow, or dark blue)
"Bed-bound?" Trix nods towards the ankle, looking around the room.
I got into a tiny fight with a wardrobe.
(Mango rolls aer eyes. The floor is laminate, with a blue rug under the bed and the walls are painted red, the ceiling a soft orange)
"That blows." Trix nods. "Was it at least a nice wardrobe?"
It was before it squished me.
(Mango manages another eye roll)
I painted it red and yellow… you can sit on my desk chair, if you want.
"Anything worse than a bad ankle?" Trix asks, sitting on the desk chair.
It’s basically twisted. Other than that, my other leg is bruised all over.
(Mango explains with a sigh. The chair has wheels, a blue headrest and red seat)
Trix nods. "Mm. Any other bad news?"
I’m not gonna be able to race for the month.
(Mango says sadly)
"Eugh." Trix frowns. "Well, I'll race twice as hard for the both of us."
You’d better. I’ll hear it on the radio.
(Mango sighs to aemself)
I’m so bored.
"Mmm... What do you want to do? I could always drag you around the hall by your arms." Trix jokes.
Yes.
(It sounds very much like an actual yes before Mango smirks a little)
Honestly, I’m not sure. Any ideas?
"Mmm..." Trix hums, drawing a blank. Admittedly, they don't get to do much at the mansion. They think back to their old crew, realizing most of what they did was bar hop and run from clouds.
"I brought my sketchbook and some sodas if you want to sketch at all?"
I can try. I haven’t actually tried in a while…
(Mango spends more time with crochet than anything else)
Trix pulls out their sketchbook and a charcoal pencil, handing both over.
(Mango is careful with them both, slowly starting to do line work for what slowly becomes a motorcycle)
Thank you…
"No problem.." They shrug, pulling out a second sketchbook and flipping to a new page, drawing between glances at Mango.
(Mango barely notices, drawing the motorcycle ae win races with slowly, carefully, like modelling a deity)
"Do you have a favorite pop?" Trix asks quietly, the sound of the charcoal pencil hitting the paper not faltering.
(Mango considers it while outlining the bike more strongly)
Mango’s always my regular… I like a cherry on special occasions though.
Trix nods. "I usually do mango or pineapple.."
They pause as they use their finger to soften some lines. "You remember how Double Dive used to have a bar and that's how me and him met? He would make a pineapple soda and grenadine drink for me... It was nice."
(Mango listens quietly, before putting down the page for a moment)
Sounds quite nice, actually… could you pass me that orange pencil case?
Trix nods, passing the case over before going back to sketching.
Ta.
(Mango starts lightly shading, the low noise of the racetrack radio static in the background)
You got a favourite colour?
"Hmm... I like a lot of darker greens. You?"
Reds that are a little more orange.
(Mango nods to aemself, using a finger to blur the colours together)
Trix nods, taking out a vibrant reddish-orange paint marker from their bag. "Like this?"
Yea. Like that.
(Mango smiles, still slowly colouring)
Trix nods, the sound of their charcoal pencil scraping against the paper filling the silence as they shade.
(Mango eventually holds up the drawing- aer motorcycle coloured in vibrantly)
Progress.
"Woah! You're good at that."
Trix uses the paint pen previously shown to sign their sketch, holding it up.
It's a well-done portrait of Mango. The lighting could use a little work.
Thank you- still a few details to work on…
(It’s not very detailed, but aer starting to get to that. Ae stare at the portrait for a moment)
Wow…
Trix shoots a sheepish smile.
It’s brilliant.
(Misfit seems to mean it, in awe of the drawing skills)
Trix tears it out carefully, holding it towards them.
(Mango takes it carefully, smiling at it)
It’s really lovely.
"Good." Trix smiles, pulling out two mango sodas and handing one over.
(Ae open it slowly, drinking a third of it before starting a different drawing)
Trix sips theirs before going back to drawing on a new page.
(This time, the drawing is of Trix on their bike, winning their first race. Ae draw slower, careful with the line work)
Trix peaks over. "Aw that's rad—!"
(Aer cheeks go a slight shade of pink at the compliment)
It’ll be more rad when it’s done.
Trix smiles, going back to drawing. This time it's of a ribcage with flowers and cacti.
(Mango slowly starts to add colour to the drawing, almost squinting at the page in concentration. Ae hum on and off, a few notes at a time)
Trix's smile softens, truly enjoying the company. They tilt the sketchbook in their lap, shading in the ribs.
(Ae stretch out their hand after a while before going back to shading)
I haven’t really done this in a while.
"Mm... For being out of practice, you're pretty rainbow at it."
It’s a lot of hardwork… in a fun way.
Trix nods. "Good... I can agree. I'm thinking of trying a different medium..."
(It takes Mango a moment to figure out what that means)
I make stuff out of wool sometimes. Coco helps me because I’m not good at it yet.
"Oh that's nice! Is wool bulky?" Trix asks. "I'm thinking of trying pastels..."
Depends where in the city it’s smuggled from.
(Misfit nods)
Pastels are fun.
"Gotcha..." Trix nods, finishing up their sketch and holding it up in front of them.
(Mango studies it with a growing smile of awe)
Beautiful.
Trix smiles. "Thank you.."
Yea..
(A few minutes later, Mango shows off the finished portrait of Trix winning the race, light hitting from behind)
Trix looks flattered, a wide smile on their face. "Looks rad."
Thank you.
(Mango smiles with embarrassment and pride)
"Anything goin' on 'round here?" Trix asks.
Don’t think so. Coco’s still locked in peir room. I think Banana is trying to cheer ‘em up.
(Mango frowns a little, not liking how upset Coco is)
"Am I allowed to ask what happened?" Trix responds quietly.
Bad day at the rescue, but I don’t quite recall the specifics… painkillers messed my memory a little.
(Mango frowns to aemself, lightly doodling little scribbles now)
Trix nods quietly, sketching small things.
"What are y'all's favorite foods?" They look up, a seemingly random question.
I like spamlets. They’re omelettes with spam, but there’s not as many eggs as a usual omelette. Coco and Boom both like spaghetti with tomato sauce. And Pincer likes anything really.
(Mangos eyes roll)
Least, that’s what Pince says.
Trix nods. "Spamlets sound nice. I usually fry up spam and mix it into rice with some pineapple... But I'll have to try those."
A pause. "I put powerpup meatballs in my spaghetti. Do they like that?"
That sounds nice. I’ve never had that.
(Mango thinks on it)
I think they would.
Trix nods, going back to sketching.
(Ae sketch a little longer, vaguely able to hear Coco start crying again. Mango yawns a little, trying to stifle it)
Trix notices the stifled yawn. "I can go, if you want to rest."
Well, I’m terrible company asleep.
(Mango sighs, frowning)
Thank you for hanging out with me.
"Anytime." Trix smiles, getting up and pushing the chair in.
(Mango smiles, managing to sit up enough to hand Trix a small bag of sweets from the dresser)
Can you take these? I’m not actually too fond of them…
Trix laughs quietly, taking the bag. "Yeah, I'll take 'em off your hands. Thanks."
Hide ‘em from Boom- I didn’t want to make ‘er sad or anything.
(They smile)
See you around?
"See ya around." Trix agrees, stuffing the candy in their bag along with their sketchbooks. "Rest easy." They add, nodding to the leg.
Sure. I can’t possibly dust of boredom, right?
(They joke, before yawning again)
"Hey, I'll always come around to keep you from that." Trix chuckles, waving as they walk out.
(Mango’s voice comes through the radio, sounding bored)

(Mango’s voice comes through the radio, sounding bored)
-Hey Trix, you free?-
@mangomisfit-kjrp
"Hey. Yeah, I'm free! Just painting."
The sound of a brush scraping against the bottom of a paint tin can be heard.
-I don’t suppose you could come over?-
(Mango asks, but doesn’t expect a yes)
"Yeah, actually... I should be able to come over. Let me just put my painting up to dry."
-Thank you.-
(Mango sighs to aemself, cutting off)
Mango gets to the bar, in a pair of black jeans and their favorite green flannel, with some well-worn boots on.
(Banana opens the door for them)
Hey- Mango told me to wait for you. Ae’re in their room.
(Banana is wearing a banana split print set of trousers and a green frilly blouse. Mango’s sat up in bed upstairs, wearing a red sweater and ugly pink sweatpants- one ankle bandaged in a splint)
"Thanks. You shiny?" Trix offers a smile, stepping inside.
Hanging in there.

(Mango’s voice comes through the radio, sounding bored)
-Hey Trix, you free?-
@mangomisfit-kjrp

(Mango’s voice comes through the radio, sounding bored)
-Hey Trix, you free?-
@mangomisfit-kjrp

(Mango’s voice comes through the radio, sounding bored)
-Hey Trix, you free?-
@mangomisfit-kjrp
