Marc Márquez for GQ Spain (February 2023 Issue)
Ready for Christmas
So, rbr didn't care about mental health or abuse when they went after Ted for stating facts. Didn't care about mental health or abuse when they turned their rabid fans on Lewis after Silverstone by implying he tried to murder Max on track. Didn't care about mental health or abuse when Horner said he'd give Latifi lifetime worth of redbull for crashing in abu dhabi. And they didn't care about mental health or abuse when they (several times) racially stereotyped Yuki, revealed private medicial information about Yuki, and grossly blamed him for things that were out of his control. Redbull have only ever given a damn about mental health or abuse when it served their narrative and shielded them from the consequences of their own actions and frankly I am sick of that game. Am I supposed to feel sorry for a team that has stabbed so many but now that they're being poked with a needle they claim to be bleeding out? Yeah, no. Fuck off.
Let me add to this.- A history of Red Bull mistreating and mentally abusing their own drivers.
Christian Klien and Vitantonio Liuzzi shared a car for the first year of red bull in 2005 because "Apparently they were equally good". Imagine the pressure they went through. Did they even know who was going to drive that weekend? The other car was drove by David Coulthard. In 2006 Tonio was demoted to Toro Rosso after it was established and Klien was fired mid season. Tonio is now a steward in F1
Scott Speed was Toro Rosso first driver and Franz Tost used to physical attack him and played mind games with him. He went back to racing in USA.
Jaime Alguersuari was so traumatize by his time in Toro Rosso (2009-2011) that not only did he left motorsports completely by 2015 to become a DJ but he also had to take therapy and still gets nightmare about an angry Helmut Marko. He has went to details about his time with Red Bull you can google read about it in various articles.
JEV never got promoted despite doing everything right. After seeing his teammate Daniil getting better results because he was lighter in weight than him. JEV ate so less that he developed an ED and ended up in hospital because he wanted to be lighter than Daniil so he could have a change to be in Red Bull.He saw first Daniel promoted and then Daniil promoted and then watched Carlos and Max getting the Toro Rosso seats over him.The team never showed him any support and blamed him for it. Atleast he turned out successful after getting out of Red Bull's influence and became a two time back to back Formula E world champion. Infact even Antonio Da Costa another red bull junior became FE world champion after cutting ties with Redbull.
Then there is the whole Daniil Kvyat mess. He was hired for Toro Rosso in 2014 got promoted to red bull for 2015 was demoted mid season to Toro Rosso in Spain 2016. Got fired from Toro Rosso mid season and was replaced by Pierre in 2017 only to be hired again for 1 race in 2017 that Pierre's was going to miss due to Super Formula conflict and then fired again and was rehired in 2019 and fired again in 2020 and was left so late that he couldn't get himself another seat. Daniil's whole time with Red Bull is a mess so much that the paddock was scared that Daniil would try to do something after Hungary qualifying in 2016 which wasn't even his fault and were relieved to see him on race day. He was literally on suicide risk.
Pierre was picked up by the red bull academy and then dropped and picked up again after his win Renault formula 2.5 He raced in GP2 with a broken spine from sliverstone to Abu Dhabi in 2016 and won the championship to get an F1 seat with them only to be told that it wasn't enough and had go do Super Formula where he only lost the championship by .5 due to a typhoon that cancelled the last races. He freaking was racing the championship while he was recovering from the surgery for his back. He finally got a F1 seat after Daniil was fired in 2017 and was promoted to red bull for 2019 despite him not being ready for it because there was no one else. Horner started mistreating him right from the winter testing itself. He kept shouting at pierre for every small mistakes. Then in the first race weekend they purposedly sabotaged him in qualifying resulting in poor position and media was after him right since that weekend. they never did anything to stop that instead didn't listen to his feedback gave him an engineer that never talked to him during races or provided him information. His request for a new engineer was refused but when alex took over and asked for a new engineer they gave it to him. Told him to stop being a technical driver which never was a bad thing. Went to the media and talked about his "supposedly" mental issues. They told him he won't be demoted and demoted him anyways mid season. They have a history of demoting drivers mid-season or firing them. Then after demotion he was left alone with the media vultures while they hounded him about his demotion and his best friend's death that died that weekend in Spa and Monza while they protected Alex from questions about his mother's fraud and tax evasion. They never promoted him again after he repeatedly proved himself instead gave Alex more time than they gave Pierre after he performed badly than Pierre and brought in an outsider Checo for the first time to replace Alex and gave him extension. Blocked other teams trying to get him by using their option on him despite no intentions of promoting him. Thank god Alpine saved him a year earlier. New information about his own engineering team makes jokes about his weights and invades his privacy about food and weight despite his weird relationship with diets. God knows how long it has been going.
And then of course Yuki that you already mentioned. You see red bull has a history of being abusive towards their own drivers and never caring about their mental health right from the very beginning. But how they have been caught cheating and are rightfully getting called about it is all about the mental health of their employees and their children because they want to take the heat of them. They have no problem being a mental abuser themselves. Frankly what they are doing is an insult to all the people who are actually dealing with mental health issues and abuses.
We don't even know the stories of Sébastien Bourdais, Sébastien Buemi, Antonio Da Costa, Brendon Hartley, David Coulthard, Mark Webber and all those various other Red Bull ex and current juniors in their academy. I would hate to find out what they went through because what we know is already bad enough. Buemi is the only one of the ex red bull/Toro Rosso drivers to still have ties with the team at least he did till last year.
anyone who is praising red bull for taking daniel back needs to be reminded of the drive abuse history that red bull and its management has. particularly a certain fandom
i think society has progressed past the need of ending f1 seasons in abu dhabi
this is just the beginning

Pierre Gasly after the Japanese GP | 09.10.22
We lost Jules already. We all lost an amazing guy, an amazing driver for the reasons that we know. Eight years ago on the same track in the same conditions with a crane. How? How today can we see a crane not even in the gravel but on the race track.... we are still on the track.
I don't understand that. Obviously I got scared. If I lost the car in a similar way as Carlos a lap before... It doesn't matter the speed 100 or 200, I would have just died. Simple as that. I don’t understand. This is disrespectful to Jules and disrespectful to his family. We are all risking our life out there. We are doing the best job in the world. What we asking is to keep us safe, because it is already dangerous enough.
We could have waited one more minute to get all the cars in the pits before putting tractors on track. I am extremely grateful that I am here and tonight I am going to call my family and all of my loved ones and the outcome is the way that it is. I passed two meters to the crane. If I was 2 meters to the left I would have been dead.
I was respecting my delta laptime. I was 9 seconds slower then my delta. This is not fair. I was doing everything correctly. That crane should have not been there. If I would have been dead and crashed into the crane what is the outcome? I don’t think any tractor should be on the race track. They will probably say I’m wrong and probably say its all my mistake what I care about is my colleagues. All of us and that in the future we don’t face this type of situation. If I had aquaplanned like Carlos then I wouldn't be standing there. There would have been another one after Jules.

the fia: JAIL! JAIL FOR A THOUSAND YEARS!
tractor out on track while it’s raining in suzuka:
the fia:
Don’t let all this get you distracted from the fact that the FIA put a tractor and marshals on track while the cars were still out

rbr getting yuki a psychologist when their so-called golden boy driver has yet to apologize to the Mongolian government, whines like a little bitch when it doesn't go his way or says he won't hesitate to crash with another driver of he tries to overtake him... sure helmut yuki is the one in dire need of a psychologist for saying fuck
btw I'm all for drivers to see psychologists and going to therapy but it should be private information. helmut has been racist and throwing yuki under the bus way too many times. but I guess that's just regular business for rbr unless you're maxv
