Motoverse, Commence!
Hello and welcome to the new Womenâs Motoverse Blog!
Being a newer rider, I found that I had more questions than I knew what to do with. Sure, I could go on Reddit or another open-space forum, but I discovered there were a limited amount of women who were sharing a similar experience⊠or posting at all.  I am also learning so much at such a rapid pace that I feel like I should share it with others who are also discovering this new world. The motorcycle world is dominated by men which makes it a bit difficult to feel comfortable expressing myself as a woman rider with little expertise. I decided to start this blog for that and many other reasons. Having a safe space such as this online is extremely important to me and Iâm sure many of you feel the same way. This is a place where you can feel free from judgement, as we are all going at our own pace, or as I like to call it, âriding our own rideâ. We can all grow together while having a good time.
What we will do here:
Share riding experiencesâgood or bad. Talk about what gear you love/donât exactly love. What you are riding or thinking about buying. Get advice on parts, bikes, riding and safety tips. How you feel in general about anything motorcycle-related. Connect with other riders near you. Anything goes hereâ this is a safe and supportive community. Riding a motorcycle can be overwhelming, dangerous, and anxiety inducing so we will be openly talking about mental health as wellâ anything we can do to make each other feel more encouraged. As women make up about 20% of all motorcycle riders, there is POWER in numbers, and itâs significantly growing year by year. There are more of us than we think, and having a place to meet up online is important. So letâs all feel free to connect, converse and share about the one love we all have in commonâ motorcycles. I will be posting a new blog every other day as well as facilitating discussions between commenters/posters. There is a topic request box and feel free to post as well as long as you follow the guidelines :) Thanks so much! Looking forward to it all!
I have also included a couple links to sites that can help guide you if youâre just starting out-- and my favorite gear brands!
